The Kansas City Chiefs are being portrayed as a team full of LeBron James wannabes, flopping at every opportunity to try and draw flags from refs that many are convinced already show them favoritism.
Listen, they wouldn’t do it if they didn’t assume that the refs were going to throw a flag. Patrick Mahomes blatantly flopped during the AFC divisional playoff against the Houston Texans.
Now, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback-turned-CBS broadcaster/future predictor Tony Romo has leveled the charge at Mahomes’ teammate Travis Kelce.
The incident took place after a touchdown run by Mahomes in the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills. Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin, despite his opponent having already broken the plane of the endzone, finished his tackle.
Kelce didn’t appreciate it, and a scuffle ensued.
Travis Kelce With The Flop
After Hamlin planted Mahomes in the end zone, Kelce rushed over to get in his face and wildly gesticulate. He was clearly taunting his opponent.
Shortly thereafter, Kelce turned and practically walked into another Bills player. He then waved his hands back so abruptly that his flowing locks from a Flowbee haircut almost came out of Kelce’s helmet.
It was embarrassing. And Romo called him out.
“Kelce knows how to get under your skin,” Romo remarked, watching the replay. “And Phillips comes in … [Kelce] tries for the flop.”

Mahomes Admitted He Tried Too Hard On His Flop
It’s rather surprising that the refs didn’t flag either player on that play. With Mahomes being as fragile as fine China and officials treating him as such, Hamlin is lucky he didn’t get a personal foul called.
Kelce, though, was also taunting and escaped any repercussions.
Following their matchup against the Texans, Mahomes at least came forward and took credit for trying to flop on one play. The play in question came early on in the fourth quarter, with the Chiefs up 13-12. Bear in mind that the Texans had already been slapped with two personal foul calls for roughing the passer when they did nothing of the sort.
Mahomes danced along the sidelines and, as he often does, slowed down, forcing the defenders to give him a little extra push to get him out of bounds. He exacerbated the situation by dropping to the ground for no real reason.
It was an intentional effort to induce another personal foul call.
Move over Lebron James. There is a new flopper in town. So glad that even the announcers are sick of Mahomes and the B.S. #Mahomesflopping #mahomesbeta #mahomesembarrassing #flop #kcgetsallthecalls #badcalls #NFLisRigged #NFLScripted pic.twitter.com/2sstfnhw2J

“I would say the only one (play) I felt like I probably did too much was the one on the sideline where I didn’t get the flag,” the quarterback said during an interview with 96.5 The Fan.
“The ref saw it and didn’t throw a flag, I understood it immediately and know that I probably shouldn’t have done that.”
Will Kelce admit the same?
