One man managed to outshine all others at the traditional Super Bowl media day in New Orleans earlier this week – former Cleveland Browns quarterback and crab leg aficionado Jameis Winston.

Winston has become a fan-favorite and among these pages, we definitely enjoy his hilarious antics.

The current free agent didn’t just participate in the event, he dominated it, proving once again why he’s one of the most captivating personalities in the NFL.

Awful Announcing said Winston flat out “stole the show,” which is a heck of a lot better than some of the other things he’s stolen throughout his career … allegedly.

As a digital correspondent for Fox Sports, Winston brought his signature energy, humor, and unfiltered charisma to the event. Let’s just say the man is not lacking in the personality department.

Jameis Winston Steals The Spotlight

From the moment he stepped onto the media day stage, Jameis Winston was clearly in his element. His first notable interaction came when he asked Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley where he should play next season.

Barkley noted that his old team, the New York Giants, needed a new quarterback.

They could use a running back, too. If only they had held on to somebody.

Whether he was tossing “W” cookies to players (a nod to his infamous “Eat a W” speech), engaging in hilarious banter with stars like DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson, or pitching himself to Chiefs coach Andy Reid, Winston’s presence was electric.

Viewers were loving it.

Blasted For Defending Deshaun Watson

Jameis Winston, the former Pro Bowl quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, took some flak earlier this season when he vociferously defended fellow QB Deshaun Watson from a negative crowd reaction.

Watson suffered a season-ending injury, and Browns fans were cheering.

“I was raised and I was taught to love, no matter the circumstances,” Winston stated. “Especially for people who do right by you.”

“I’m grateful for the chance to have served Deshaun, but I am very upset with the reaction to a man who has had the world against him for the past three years,” he continued. “And he put his body and life on the line for this city every single day.”

But Watson isn’t what you would call a ‘good guy.’ He’s had over 20 lawsuits filed against him by women who accused him of inappropriate behavior. He was suspended in 2022 for 11 games by the NFL.
