If you’ve had enough of Jason Kelce, well, that’s just too darn bad. He’s everywhere these days.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center’s latest foray into pop culture is a team-up with the legendary Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks for the new duet “Maybe This Christmas.”

Kelce Teams Up With Nicks

Kelce, 37, joined forces with Nicks, 76, to sing the song for the upcoming album A Philly Special Christmas Party. Really milking that one Super Bowl from almost a decade ago. The tune is called, “Maybe This Christmas,” which was written by Ron Sexsmith, dropped on Friday.

Kelce announced his collaboration with Nicks in an Instagram post last month.

“The crossover we didn’t know we needed,” Kelce captioned a photo of himself dressed in a Christmas sweater and hugging Nicks. “Coming soon to a Christmas album near you 👀🎄.”

Kelce Enjoyed Working With Nicks

Kelce had lots of fun working with Nicks on this tune.

“You have no idea how cool that just was,” he said in a behind-the-scenes video of their collaboration.

Nicks told Kelce to “sing exactly what you’re singing” so she could sing “a harmony right above you.” Kelce more than held his own as Nicks added in her iconic vocals.

“I never thought I’d ever in a million years be on a song with Stevie Nicks, so this is incredible,” he gushed.

Last month, Kelce opened up about working with Nicks on his New Heights podcast.

“The legendary Stevie Nicks came on and did a duet with me, which in itself is pretty crazy to actually be on a track with Stevie Nicks. I mean, absolutely unreal,” he said. “[She’s] probably the most legendary female singer, especially of her generation … [and so] the fact that I’m singing with her, this legend, is pretty unreal.”

Kelce went on to describe Nicks as being “one of the nicest people” he’s ever met with “an absolutely beautiful personality.”

Kelce’s brother Travis chimed in to describe Nicks as being “the best person.” Nicks is close friends with his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Kelce’s History With Music

Though he’s best known for his football abilities, Kelce has a lengthy history with music. He played baritone saxophone in high school. Kelce then joined the Philadelphia Orchestra for a performance at the Mann Center in 2018. During this event, Kelce played “Fly, Eagles Fly” on the woodwind instrument.

“I have always been involved in music, but it’s not something I’ve really gotten too much into,” Kelce said during a 2018 interview for the Eagles’ official website. “And then because of the Mummers and the Philadelphia Orchestra night came about, I was able to push that message of being involved in music. That was something I certainly enjoyed doing.”

As for Nicks, she’s a 14-time Grammy nominee. Her band Fleetwood Mac won Album of the Year in 1978 for “Rumours.” The group later won Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 2003. Nicks has additionally been inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, with her band in 1998 and as a solo artist in 2019.

The collaboration between Kelce and Nicks is truly something that we never knew we needed. Here’s hoping that Kelce launches more musical endeavors in the future!
