Travis Kelce and his team the Kansas City Chiefs will be heading to the Super Bowl on February 9. Indeed, they will be aiming to win their third Super Bowl in a row – a feat that has never been accomplished since the NFL’s merger with the AFL.
This has put Travis’ older brother Jason Kelce in a very difficult position. Unfortunately for him, the Chiefs will be taking on his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Jason played thirteen seasons with the Eagles before retiring in 2024. This has left fans wondering which team Jason will be rooting for when it comes time for the big game.
Who Will Jason Root For?
In the wake of the Chiefs and the Eagles cementing their respective places in the Super Bowl, a clip from the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast from back in March has resurfaced. In it, Jason reveals who he would root for if the Chiefs and the Eagles were to take each other on in the 2025 Super Bowl.
“I will root for the Eagles, of course,” Jason, 37, said when asked about this potential matchup.
Naturally, this did not sit well with Travis, 35.
“This is bull [expletive],” Travis chimed in to say. Which is both fair, and funny.
Nevertheless, Jason stood his ground.
“Because I will always be an Eagle,” Jason explained. “First and foremost. I’ll also root for Travis to have a good game, of course, cause he’s my brother, but nah, I’ll definitely be cheering on the Eagles.”

Jason’s Busy Sunday
Jason had quite a busy day on Sunday. That afternoon, he reported from the Eagles victory over the Washington Commanders. Jason then jumped on a plane and made it just in time to cheer on Travis as the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills that night.
Heading into Sunday, Jason admitted that he was “torn” about which game to attend. Thankfully, he didn’t have to make a decision.

Jason Talks Chiefs’ Dominance
Also on Sunday, Jason was asked why he thinks the Chiefs have been so dominant as of late. Indeed, the Kansas City team has won an impressive 16 consecutive one-score games so far this season. They just won the AFC Championship, a game they’ve qualified for seven seasons in a row.
“The more you have that experience, the more comfortable you are,” Jason responded. “Especially for them, they’ve executed so well in those. And it starts with Andy Reid and Pat Mahomes. Patrick is so good in these situations, he’s so good off the cuff… whether it’s finding a way to make a play with his feet, finding a way to make a play in the air, him and Travis have this ability to be connected even though they’re not on the same page or doing something different from what the play was called.”
Only time will tell who Jason roots for on the big day of the Super Bowl. In the end, it will likely be a difficult choice for him!
