The Kansas City chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and the pop star Taylor Swift have been going strong now for over a year. Indeed, it can’t be denied that the two 35 year-old lovebirds are arguably one of the most popular (or at least, talked about) couples in the world.
That’s why fans are feeling very excited that rumors are swirling that Kelce and Swift could already be engaged.
Engagement Rumors Run Rampant
On Friday night, Swift was seen having dinner with her parents and friend Ashley Avignone in New York City. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that Swift was wearing an infinity ring for this outing. This has led to rampant speculation that Kelce is about to pop the question and propose.
“Traditionally, these bands are thought of as a ‘pre-engagement ring’ as they signify devotion or ‘promise’ for a future engagement,” one fan wrote on social media. This fan added that it’s “interesting” for Swift to be wearing this ring right now.
Other fans were quick to chime in to give their thoughts.
“Oh that’s a pretty interesting one bestie,” one person wrote.
“He’s def buying her lots of jewelry. He loves spending cash and being showy for his Queen. Fun to see her loved loudly,” another added. “Firmly believe its already locked down & they are at least engaged. They’ll reveal to fans when they need to or it’s the right time with their respective careers.”
However, as third social media user wasn’t so sure.
“Her ex allegedly gifted her an infinity bracelet that she wore all the time and they weren’t engaged so … it’s just jewelry until she says otherwise!” this person explained.
Fair enough! Though, given the significance of this type of jewelry, wearing it from an ex would be a little strange!
Swift And Kelce
Swift and Kelce have been dating since September of 2023. In August of 2024, a source close to them claimed to Page Six that they were near an engagement.
“The engagement is happening soon,” this source alleged. However, Kelce’s rep was quick to deny that he was preparing to propose at the time.
Last month, a source close to Kelce opened up about how the Chiefs’ star feels about the engagement rumors.
“He does read some of these stories because it cannot be avoided,” this source told Daily Mail. “And he finds some of it hilarious because he knows how much the world wants this to happen. At times it can be overwhelming for him.”
The Kelce family has gotten in on the action as well.
“His family jokes with him about a wedding and pits him up against his brother whose wife is already popping out more babies,” the insider continued.
This was a reference to Kelce’s brother Jason, a former player for the Philadelphia Eagles. He and his wife Kylie are the parents of three daughters, with a fourth on the way.

Swift And Kelce Are Having Fun With This
As for Swift, she’s reportedly also having fun with the engagement rumors.
“Taylor and Travis find it extremely humorous that they have been engaged every day since they got together,” a friend of the singer alleged in December. “These engagement rumors started from day one and they do not know how they can even have a public engagement at this point.”
Well, in the end, if you’re not having fun, is it worth it?
Only time will tell if Swift and Kelce actually get engaged. One thing is for sure, and that is that their fans will be ecstatic if they ever do!
