The Dallas Cowboys season is a mess and it doesn’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. The latest saga with owner Jerry Jones and a pair of radio hosts is adding to the soap opera in Big D.

ESPN analyst Shannon Sharpe weighed in on the latest controversy that involved Jerruh absolutely losing his mind with interviewers who dared to ask him some questions they thought were important.

“I hate, I detest, I despise someone that will prey on the weak,” Sharpe fumed. “And because Jerry Jones is in an advantageous situation, because he has the power in this situation, he would actually say that publicly.”

“That tells me a lot about a man.”

Sharpe pointed out that Jones’ character is in question when he’s willing to publicly flaunt his ability to wield power over unassuming radio hosts.

Jerry Jones Threatened Radio Hosts

Jerry Jones made headlines for an intense exchange during his regular weekly radio interview on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.

Following an embarrassing loss to the Detroit Lions, where the Cowboys got shellacked 47-9, Jones appeared on the show known as “Shan & RJ.”

During one segment, the hosts pressed Jones about the team’s offseason moves and overall strategy. He did not like that.

“If you think I’m going to get on a damn phone call with you over the radio and sitting here throwing out all the good with the dishwater, you must be smoking something,” Jones began.

“This is not your job. Your job isn’t to make me go over all the reasons I did something and that I’m sorry that I did it – that’s not your job. You’ll do your job, or I’ll ask somebody else to ask these questions,” said Jones.

“I’m not kidding, I am not kidding. You are not going to figure out what the team is doing right or wrong,.. y’all really think that you’re going to sit here with a microphone and tell me all the things that I’ve done wrong without going over the right things?”

Since their last Super Bowl appearance in 1995, many, many players have come and gone. Many coaches have come and gone. And the Cowboys since then haven’t even sniffed playoff success.

Anybody know what the one common denominator is? That’s right – Jerry.

Shannon Sharpe Is NOT Happy

Shannon Sharpe continued his tirade against Jerry Jones on ESPN’s First Take. He seems to be taking it kind of personally.

“And I don’t take this lightly. If the Cowboys don’t win another playoff game or another game as long as Jerry Jones is the owner, I’ll be the happiest man in the world,” he said.

“For that man to put that man in fear for his job, now you know moving forward…you know he’s not gonna ask him anything tough because that man needs this job,” added Sharpe.

“And for Jerry to say this publicly and say, ‘I’m not laughing, I’m not joking,’ I’m out.”

The way the Cowboys are playing right now, their winning another game is certainly suspect. Their quarterback (highest paid in the league) is a nightmare, their defense is soft, their coaching staff is incompetent, their run game is non-existent, and their players only care about themselves.

As does the owner.

Other than that, things are going great.

Jones during the offseason similarly went on a rant about how great he is as a general manager, even insisting there’s nobody better for the job.

“I’ve been there every which way from Sunday, and have I busted my […] a bunch, a bunch. And there’s nobody living that’s out cutting and shooting that can’t give you a bunch of times they busted their […],” he said in an interview with DLLS.

Jones added, “So hell no, there’s nobody that could […] come in here and do all the contracts … and be a GM any better than I can.”

The self-proclaimed ‘best GM Dallas has to offer’ previously said the club would be “going all in” to improve after a devastating wild-card loss to the Packers in January. Then he signed a washed-up Ezekiel Elliott and threw money at CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott, neither of whom is justifying their contracts.

You could throw those two radio hosts into the role of GM and they’d be doing a better job of running the show.
