Back in October, we reported that the supermodel Gisele Bündchen was pregnant by her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend Joaquim Valente. It’s since been revealed that Gisele’s ex-husband Tom Brady, who she split from two years ago, is struggling to date in the wake of her pregnancy.
Yes, men, it really is that tough out there!
Tom Is Allegedly Struggling To Date
“Tom would love to date more but he is busy and very focused on his first year of being a commentator,” an insider told Daily Mail. “It is easier to be single right now.”
Tom, 47, has been trying to distract himself with work. He’s thrown himself into his broadcasting career (I mean really – have you seen his “broadcasting hype videos”?), as he’s currently in year one of his ten-year Fox deal, which is worth $375 million.
“At first, everything stings,” the source explained. “Her getting pregnant, her hanging out with Joaquim, her moving on. ‘But then he snaps out of it and remains busy, knows that his life is pretty good and to worry about things he can’t control is a waste of time.”
“He could complain but what’s the point,” the insider added. “[Tom] got the best out of the relationship with Gisele until it fell apart, now it’s not his problem anymore. He will be fine.”
After his divorce, Tom was linked to the Hollywood star Bradley Cooper’s ex Irina Shayk, 38. They were spotted in July of 2023, when they were seemingly caught spending the night at Tom’s Los Angeles home. However, three months later, their romance had “fizzled.” Sources claimed at the time that Tom “wasn’t able to give his full attention” to Irina.
While Tom has been rumored to be dating various women since then, nothing seems to actually be sticking for him romantically.
Tom Doesn’t Want More Children
Tom and Gisele, 44, are already parents to son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11. He is also father to son Jack, 17, with his ex-girlfriend, the Blue Bloods actress Bridget Moynahan. Unlike Gisele, however, Tom isn’t interested in becoming a parent again. As he reenters the dating pool, Tom reportedly has fears that this could make finding another partner difficult for him.
“He doesn’t anticipate having more kids, and that makes it a little more difficult to find the right person,” the insider explained. “But when he’s got the time to dive into dating again, he’s Tom Brady, so how difficult will it be to find someone?”
Meanwhile, another source close to Tom claimed that “finding out Gisele was pregnant stung” for the former NFL quarterback.
“Tom had to get out his feelings about it and he did it in his own time,” this insider said.

Gisele And Joaquim
Gisele met Joaquim, 36, in December of 2021 when she sought out jiu-jitsu training for her son. The supermodel quickly decided to take classes from him too.
Rumors of a romance between Gisele and Joaquim spread like wildfire when they were spotted on vacation together in Costa Rica in November of 2022. This was just two weeks after her divorce from Tom was finalized.
Gisele has long denied that she cheated on Tom with Joaquim, however. When asked about these rumors in one interview, she replied, “That is a lie.”
“This is the first time I am seeing someone that was a friend of mine first,” Gisele claimed. “It’s very different. It is very honest, and it’s very transparent.”
