The Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is currently deciding whether or not he’s retiring. This comes after the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month in a humiliating defeat. Indeed, they came up short by a score of 40-22.
As Kelce weighs his options for the future, a major Hollywood producer is sounding off about what the football star’s chances are of making it in the entertainment world. Kelce is likely to be very happy about his Hollywood prospects after hearing what this producer had to say.
Hollywood Producer Discusses Kelce’s Future
Kelce, 35, executive produced the new movie My Dead Friend Zoe, which premiered in Los Angeles on Monday. On the red carpet, producer Paul Scanlan revealed what he thinks Kelce’s potential future in Hollywood will look like.
“Even just seeing what a difference it’s made having him involved in our project, I would say yeah,” Scanlan told People Magazine. “He’s such a likable guy and he’s a good actor. I mean, he’s proven that he’s been in some good material. And he’s a good producer.”
“He’s made a difference in our project,” Scanlan continued. “He’s really good at generating attention and getting attention on a worthy project … He’s a giving person, he’s very Midwestern that way. I feel like he wants to do purposeful projects. And having him involved has helped us achieve our mission, getting this film out to more people where it can really make a difference.”

Kelce ‘Made A Really Huge Difference’ With This Movie
Scanlan went on to say that those who worked on My Dead Friend Zoe “were so grateful” to have Kelce onboard. Indeed, Scanlan believes that “having him involved has helped the film gain the level of attention that it deserves.”
“It’s an independent film, having Travis involved has made a really huge difference in allowing the film to kind of bat above its average weight,” the seasoned Hollywood producer explained.
My Dead Friend Zoe is about an Army vet (Sonequa Martin-Green) who is dealing with PTSD after her friend, a fellow soldier (Natalie Morales), passes away. Check out a trailer for the movie in the video below.

Kelce Gushes Over My Dead Friend Zoe
As for Kelce himself, he’s made it clear that he greatly enjoyed working on My Dead Friend Zoe.
“Being part of My Dead Friend Zoe as an executive producer has been an incredible experience,” Kelce told People last week. He added that this movie “tells a compelling story and shines a light on the challenges our veterans face.”
“My hope is to continue working on meaningful projects like this. Stories that entertain, inspire and make a real impact,” Kelce stated. He also said that he is “proud to be a part of” the film.
Kelce then said that My Dead Friend Zoe “tells a powerful story and puts two strong female characters at the forefront” of the film.
“Sonequa and Natalie bring depth and authenticity to their performances, highlighting the strength, resilience and leadership of women in the military,” he concluded.
This comes at a difficult time for Kelce. He has until March 14 to let the Chiefs know whether or not he’ll be retiring. Should Kelce decide to put his NFL career behind him, it certainly seems like he might have a bright future in Hollywood!
