Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles weren’t about to let a little thing like celebrating a Super Bowl berth get in the way of their stellar reputation. Instead of eating horse apples, this year America’s … most enthusiastic … fans took things up a notch and turned downtown Philly into Baghdad.
Gunshot Rings Out In Crowd Of Eagles Fans
After the Eagles absolutely blew the doors off the Commanders by a score of 55-23, ecstatic fans flocked to the popular area of Frankford and Cottman in Northeast Philadelphia to celebrate. As you might expect, things went off the rails.
Horrifying video footage shows an unknown male point a gun in the air and fire three shots in a large crowd of Eagles fans.
“That was definitely a gun,” one fan can be heard saying amidst screams and shouts of terror.
Police are reportedly investigating this incident. At the time of this writing, no arrests have been made, and the person who fired the gun has not been identified.

More Chaos Among Eagles Fans
This is just one of many incidents of chaos that took place in Philadelphia after the Eagles victory. Immediately after the win, a man was stabbed in a parking lot outside Lincoln Financial Field, where the game took place. There, a 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old were seen arguing at around 8pm before the younger male was stabbed in the right leg.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition. The 34 year-old has been arrested. Neither of their identities have been released to the public at this time.
Meanwhile, a car plowed through a crowd of celebratory Eagles fans in North Philadelphia. A witness saw the driver arguing with the group before the incident took place.
“It was a car. She was on the sidewalk. And she was arguing with some people,” the witness told NBC Philadelphia. “Drove straight down into the crowd and hit probably at least 30 people.”
“Everybody dancing, getting along,” a second witness added. “Next thing you know a car coming down and it’s speeding and it hit 10 people.”
Multiple people were rushed to the hospital afterwards. Police have not yet revealed the total number of people injured. Reporters saw many injured individuals at the scene. Some had neck braces, while others had visible bandages on their arms and legs.
Police have already arrested a suspect, though the persons identity has not been released at this time. Check out footage of the car plowing through the crowd of Eagles fans below.

Eagles Fans Climb Light Poles
Despite all of this chaos, Eagles fans everywhere are overjoyed that the team is back in the Super Bowl. Philadelphia law enforcement did their best to maintain order. They even greased the light poles in the hopes of preventing fans from climbing them.
“Don’t climb the poles, greased or not greased, please don’t climb the poles, because you could break the poles and that’s expensive, and it’s money we could spend on other things,” Philadelphia’s managing director Adam Thiel said earlier in the day.
Unfortunately for them, however, fans didn’t listen and climbed the light poles anyway.
This is the second Super Bowl appearance for the Eagles in three years. They will be trying to prevent the Chiefs from winning their third Super Bowl in a row when the big game takes place on February 9. Only time will tell how this turns out for the Eagles!
