Videos have surfaced online showing the state of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl after party, and it’s sadder than a screening of Titanic at the local old folks home.

Not surprisingly, it’s customary for both teams to go ahead and book a spot for a big game after party. And usually both teams will see a decent turnout. After all, it’s not every year you make it to the Super Bowl.

But when you’ve just been absolutely trounced in a Super Bowl that could have vaulted you into history as one of the best dynasties in NFL history by securing the first three-peat since the merger, things hurt a little more.

The Eagles pummelled the Chiefs 40-22, and it wasn’t even that close. The scene at the Chiefs after party accordingly was as lame as Travis Kelce’s haircut.

Chiefs Super Bowl Party Was Less Than Super

Perhaps the saddest insight into the Chiefs’ Super Bowl party comes from DJ Dillon Francis, who was hired to perform for the massive crowd.

Only, the crowd wasn’t massive.

“Sometimes you have to go back to your roots and DJ for 3 people,” he wrote in an Instagram post. Francis also explained he was asked to perform “last minute,” and he prepped for 11,000 people.

“But then the Chiefs got destroyed and…” he added. “Nobody showed up.”

At one point, Francis records himself trying to get the crowd to sing and dance along. It doesn’t go well.

“I even tried to get 3 people there to sing along…,” he said, but instead got just “4 claps.”

In addition to DJ Dillon Francis, Shaboozey played his hit song “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” While he had a slightly better crowd, the reaction was still underwhelming.

Kelce didn’t even appear at the party. Instead, he FaceTimed with The Chainsmokers, who played at the event.

“We just played your f—ing party,” they told him.

And he wasn’t even there.

Given the significant loss and the failure to achieve a historic three-peat, the atmosphere was understandably less festive.
