Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey accidentally juiced a cheerleader right in the noggin with a poorly aimed kickoff in a game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

If there were ever a microcosm of this team’s season, it was this.

The wild incident occurred after Aubrey, who will represent the NFC in this year’s Pro Bowl as one of the league’s most accurate long-range kickers, successfully kicked a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter.

His ensuing attempt to kick a low line drive on the kickoff, however, went way off course. A photographer on the sideline attempted to catch the football but whiffed. And the ball struck the unsuspecting cheerleader square in the dome.

Thankfully, she was not seriously injured and was seen laughing about the incident. The cheerleader was able to return to the sidelines shortly thereafter. But man, she got rocked. Take a look:

Brandon Aubrey – A Lone Bright Spot For The Cowboys

Brandon Aubrey has been a lone bright spot for the Dallas Cowboys this season due to his exceptional kicking leg.

Despite the team’s overall disappointing 7-10 record, Aubrey set an NFL record by making 14 field goals from 50 yards or more. He hit 14 of 17 from this incredible distance. He set the record against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, making three 50-plus yard field goals in a 26-24 win.

In week 3, he hit his longest field goal attempt from 65 yards out. Aubrey was also perfect in extra-point attempts this season.

His consistency and power have been pivotal, especially in close games, where his long-range kicks often made the difference. See the aforementioned game against the Bucs.

Still, we’re quite sure the kickoff straight to the cheerleading section will go down as one of the worst attempts of the season.

Cowboys Dismal Season Comes To A Merciful End

Brandon Aubrey and the Dallas Cowboys finished their season with a last-second loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday. It was their 10th loss of a dismal season.

Their poor 7-10 record marked the Cowboys’ first losing season since 2020. Key factors included quarterback Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury and Ezekiel Elliott being outed as a terrible running back, which severely impacted their offensive capabilities.

Their defense was worse. Maybe they should consider signing that cheerleader to play safety.

The Cowboys set an NFL record by trailing by over 20 points in six straight home games, showcasing their significant defensive issues. Mainly, they were soft.

Prior to the cheerleader incident, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was the subject of ridicule at an Eagles game, where fans taunted him during their team’s blowout win and sarcastically said, “You’re doing a great job this year, man.”

Oh well, they’ll always have the best cheerleaders in the game.
