Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua made headlines off the field this week by playfully replying to actress Sydney Sweeney on social media after she discussed her dream date.

What a stud.

The lighthearted moment stemmed from a recent Cosmopolitan interview where the 28-year-old Sweeney opened up about her ideal partner. Describing herself as a “sporty girl,” the Euphoria star and Anyone But You actress said she looks for someone “athletic and outgoing and funny.”

Hmmm. Nacua seems to fit the bill on the athletic side. But the Hollywood siren also included some very specific requests.

“I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me,” she told the magazine. “And someone who loves their family.”

Puka Nacua Shoots His Shot with “Love Skydiving” Reply to Sydney Sweeney’s Ideal Partner Comments

The comments, widely shared online, including a post from Complex on X, caught the attention of Nacua, the 24-year-old Rams standout.

In a simple but clearly flirtatious reply, Nacua quote-tweeted the post with just two words: “Love skydiving.”

Legendary status achieved. Especially if he scores a date with Sweeney. As Michael Scott, channeling Wayne Gretzky, once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

The brief response quickly went viral. Fans were amused by Nacua’s playful response. One supporter even tagged Sweeney in a comment and posted a humorous (and clearly edited) image of Nacua skydiving while wearing his Rams jersey and helmet.

Amazing stuff.

Nacua, who earned First-Team All-Pro honors this season after a breakout campaign with 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games, appears to be enjoying his offseason following the Rams’ strong 12-5 run that included playoff wins before an NFC Championship loss.

Sweeney, meanwhile, was spotted at Game 4 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium, downing a Dodger Dog and leaving fans wanting a taste of their own.

And, despite telling Sports Illustrated that her two favorite sports are UFC and hockey, Sweeney was heating up the racetrack and getting everyone’s engines revving at the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race in November.

Sweeney, who starred in the recent boxing biopic Christy, has hinted at taking up professional boxing. She restores her own vintage vehicles. And she looks smoking hot while doing it all.

No wonder Nacua fired his shot.
