The Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wants the world to know that he’s actively “looking” for movie roles, and he’ll “do anything” to get them.

Travis Is ‘Looking For Movie Deals’

“I’m looking for movie deals,” Travis, 34, told his older brother Jason, 36, on their New Heights podcast on Wednesday.

“I’ll do anything in the movie,” he admitted. “I’ll be a part of it any way I possibly can.”

Travis went on to address rumors that he’s been cast in a role in the sequel to Adam Sandler’s classic 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore.

“Whoa! Is that true?” an incredulous Jason asked. Travis responded, “I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2, but if there is, I’ll be a f***ing extra.”

Daily Mail reported that the rumors about this began to spread after Travis began wearing a Happy Gilmore hat publicly. Travis doubled down on just how eager he is to be in this movie.

“Anything to just get around Happy Gilmore or an Adam Sandler film or set,” Travis said. “Count me in. Obviously been a huge fan of the Sandman.”

Travis already has some experience in television. He starred on his own dating reality show Catching Kelce back in 2016. In March of last year, he made his acting debut when he hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live! Check out his opening monologue below.

Travis Cast In Ryan Murphy Show

Earlier this month, it was announced that Travis had been cast in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX horror series Grotesque. Deadline reported that Travis will star on the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville. The show is currently in production, but details of the plot are being kept under wraps.

In another recent episode of their podcast, Travis expressed his surprise that Murphy hasn’t “fired” him yet.

“I feel like a jabroni, I feel like an amateur, but I haven’t gotten fired yet,” he said. “They haven’t told me to f**king kick rocks after the first week.”

Travis also said that he’s been having “so much fun” working on the show. He credited the cast and crew with helping him “feel comfortable” and giving him pointers on how to portray his character.

“I’m just taking it scene-by-scene and making sure I remember my lines,” he said. “I’m very amateur at this.”

Travis Preparing For NFL Season

Travis is also gearing up for his next NFL season. Last month, he officially became the highest paid tight end in the NFL when he signed a $34.25 million that runs through 2027. Travis said afterwards that he is “extremely grateful” to have gotten this deal.

On top of everything else he has going on, Travis is currently dating the pop star Taylor Swift. Since they went public with their relationship in September of last year, they have garnered tons of interest from fans around the world.

While some people would be uncomfortable with all this attention, Travis appears to be relishing in it. Only time will tell if his dreams of movie stardom come true!
