Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce revealed more details of his “Love Story” with Taylor Swift, admitting that he cried during his proposal to the Pop Princess and insisted she has made him a “better man.”
Not a better football player. A better man. And good for him!
In a candid interview with Erin Andrews on Sunday before his Chiefs took on the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce described his emotions as he dropped the big question to his sweet babu.
“There were a few tears here and there. I’m an emotional guy,” he conceded. “The palms were definitely sweating. It’s been an exciting ride up to this day. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Kelce joked that he wouldn’t give up every detail of the proposal, instead suggesting Swift should “tell that story,” something we’ll no doubt hear in upcoming song releases.

Kelce went on to address how the biggest pop star on the planet had profoundly impacted his life, bringing excitement, joy, and a deeper sense of self that has made him a better man overall.
“She has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and made me that much more comfortable in who I am,” Kelce happily declared.
If only he could somehow harness this passion on game day.
Good God, it sounds like an episode of Oprah. I half expect him to jump up and down on a couch like Tom Cruise.

Kelce Struggles
Despite the constant focus on his relationship with Taylor Swift, Kelce insists he hasn’t lost his passion for the game. Travis, in fact, says he still feels like a big kid on Sundays.
“I love what I do, I’m still a kid on Sundays that still enjoys every aspect of the game,” he said. “I built a family here, and I don’t want to give that up yet. I still feel like I’ve got a lot to prove.”
He’s going to have a lot more to prove after his performance against the Eagles following the interview. Travis Kelce had four catches for 61 yards, but had a critical bobble in the fourth quarter that wound up in the hands of Eagles defensive back Andrew Mukuba.
The Eagles scored a touchdown on the next possession, effectively sealing the game.
In a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last week, Kelce had just two catches for 47 yards, though one of those went for a touchdown.
Kelce had pondered retirement last year but felt he had more to prove after the Chiefs lost in the Super Bowl. Following an 0-2 start, he might not have to worry about making that far this time around.
