Dolphins all-world wide receiver Tyreek Hill has admittedly publicly that he made a “boneheaded” mistake during his involvement in an incident at Haulover Marina in Miami Beach back in June. But now? Video of the altercation involving Hill, 29, and another man has surfaced, revealing exactly how everything took place.

Tyreek Hill spoke to reporters for the first time since the incident took place on June 18, and said that as a team leader, he can’t be making bad moves like this. There was less deflection – and more realization – in the playmaker’s words.
“I just can’t make boneheaded mistakes like that,” he told reporters Wednesday. “As far as the story, I’m not here to get into that. I’m here to play ball. I understand your question totally, but the issue has been resolved, and I’m currently cooperating with the NFL, giving them all the details on what happened on that day.”
The receiver allegedly hit a marina employee during an argument on Father’s Day. Statements taken allege that Tyreek Hill took a swing at the alleged victim – a marina worker. Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 then released security footage that appeared to show the football star swiping at the employee with his hand. Meanwhile, another man looks as if he’s trying to restrain Hill.
Based on Hill’s public acknowledgment of the incident and the fact that he has assumed responsibility, it’s clear that he would likely plead guilty if any charges are brought forward after he reached an out-of-court settlement with the victim. However, this wouldn’t be his first brush with the law, if he were to face the music. Hill has had a checkered past, although he appeared to be putting a lot of that darkness behind him in recent years.
The speedster was investigated for child abuse in 2019 for an incident that saw his three-year-old son left with a broken arm. The youth was eventually removed from the home and temporarily placed in protective custody. After the injuries were ruled an accident, Hill was not charged. However, this also followed a 2014 domestic abuse allegation from the child’s mother, Crystal Espinal, so questions about the veteran’s character came into question then.
Regardless of any off-field incidents, Tyreek Hill remains one of the NFL’s top pass catchers. After a stellar six years with the Chiefs where he was a three-time NFL All-Pro and won a Super Bowl, he signed with Miami in 2022. He immediately showed why he took his talents to South Beach, posting yet another All-Pro season with 1,710 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Hill and the Dolphins will open the 2023 regular season on Sept. 10 – in LA against the Chargers.
