A Buffalo Bills fan went viral for catching an errant pass by quarterback Josh Allen and immediately heading for the exits during a Sunday Night Football matchup against the New England Patriots.
Allen rolled out to his right on the opening drive of the second half and threw an off-target pass into the far back of the end zone from the 6-yard line.
A quick-thinking Bills fan, dressed in a Matt Milano jersey, snagged the ball cleanly from the stands. Rather than cheering or holding onto the moment, the fan bolted up the stairs toward what appeared to be the nearest exit, football firmly in hand.
NBC play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico commented on the absurdity of the moment, questioning where the man was headed with his newfound sports memorabilia.
And he did so as if calling an actual game play in which Milano, a linebacker, is sprinting for his own score.
The Bills fan in the Matt Milano jersey had his moment 😂

Once in a lifetime souvenir from Josh Allen
The quick-thinking move to snag a once-in-a-lifetime souvenir from Josh Allen might have the Bills thinking they should sign this man to the roster.
And to have a memory for life, something to share with his friends and family – I mean, *chef’s kiss* to this guy.
Just one play later, Allen delivered a precise touchdown pass to wide receiver Curtis Samuel, putting the Bills ahead 10-6. The fleeing fan, in his haste, missed the entire thrilling sequence and the ensuing celebration.
But who cares, really? He ended up with something far, far better.
It’s unclear if the fan ever made his way back into the stadium to watch the rest of the game. No worries, since the Bills ended up on the losing end of things for the first time this season.
The Patriots, led by quarterback Drake Maye, won the AFC East rival game in a nailbiter, 23-20.

Bills Mafia gonna be Bills Mafia
This bizarre episode is the second wild incident involving a fan at Highmark Stadium this season.
In an earlier Sunday night game against the Baltimore Ravens, another Bills supporter struck Ravens star DeAndre Hopkins on the helmet during a touchdown celebration, prompting quarterback Lamar Jackson to shove him back into his seat.
That aggressive fan was subsequently banned indefinitely from Highmark Stadium and all NFL venues.
Jackson himself would later apologize for his own actions, but suggested to the fan, “Just chill next time. You can talk trash and stuff, but keep your hands to yourself.”
Josh Allen would take a jab at Bills fans for leaving that game when the team was down 40-25 late in the fourth quarter. They ended up winning 41-40.
“Our team didn’t quit,” Allen said after the incredible rally. “I think there were some people that left the stadium. That’s OK, we’ll be fine, but have some faith next time.”
This time, the fan was wise to leave the stadium. He got himself a game ball and didn’t have to be subjected to the loss.
