Chicago Bears rookie offensive tackle Theo Benedet has been an absolute star this summer. But it’s not as much for his performance on the field as it is other things.

The Canada native joined the rest of Chicago’s rookies in having to perform a talent in front of the rest of the team. It’s been a tradition over the years in Chicago.

The good news? It was all caught on tape with the documentary series “Hard Knocks” featuring the up-and-coming Bears this season. The better news? Benedet did his thing in a masterful way as he sang Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.”

We have to say that this is the best moment thus far on the season of “Hard Knocks.” A Canadian showing his American patriotism. Who would have thought?

But that is in no way the extent of it.

We’re not kidding.

As Benedet was nearly wrapping up his performance, the offensive tackle stripped down to Patriotic underwear in front of his team. It was a whole scene.

As you can see, the rest of the team sang along with him. That included rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. Of course, it came after laughter broke out among Bears players.

These summer traditions around the NFL are always great. Being able to see them first-hand makes it that much better.

As for a career in singing, let’s hope Benedet makes it on the football field.
