Manchester United caretaker coach, Michael Carrick, has shrugged off Roy Keane’s latest dig at his wife by claiming the statement doesn’t bother him at all.
Keane made the surprising comment about Lisa Carrick after her husband’s appointment as Man United head coach until the end of the season.
The comment was likely in reference to the falling-out that occurred between Keane and Lisa Carrick back in February 2014, after the former criticised Michael Carrick’s postgame comments following United’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Olympiakos.
Lisa Carrick then responded with a social-media post abusing Roy Keane for his criticism of her husband, which she subsequently deleted.

What Roy Keane said about Michael Carrick’s wife lately
Speaking on the “Stick to Football” podcast this week, Roy Keane was responding to Jamie Carragher’s comment that United should not have employed Carrick in the caretaker role.
He then made a statement insinuating that Lisa Carrick could as well influence her husband’s role in the United dressing room.
“Well, his wife can always come in because she’s got a bit of a big mouth sometimes. She’s probably doing the team talk,” Keane said.
However, Carrick has now dismissed the comments, claiming it has nothing on him.

Carrick’s response to Keane’s dig at his wife
The former United midfielder brushed off feeling any extra pressure from Keane, Gary Neville and other former United players who now work as pundits.
In a response on Friday, Carrick told reporters:
“Honestly, it didn’t bother me. They’re not putting more pressure on me, I don’t feel that.
“It’s just part of it. I understand the role, there’s plenty of opinions around, some are positive, some aren’t so much.
“It is the way of the world, I’m not going to pay too much attention to most of that,” he added while reiterating that his focus and that of the players now is how to make the club successful.
Carrick’s first game of his second spell as United’s interim head coach is Saturday’s Manchester derby at Old Trafford. United go into the game sitting seventh in the Premier League with 32 points and already eliminated from the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
