Erin Dolan, a rising sports betting analyst, has recently secured a multi-year contract renewal with ESPN, which will expand her presence on the network.
Now, she’s revealing how she took a huge gamble on herself, negotiating the contract without any outside help from an agent or otherwise.
She flew solo. She bet on her own talent, and ESPN rewarded her appropriately.
“I’m really happy about the deal,” Dolan told the New York Post. “I negotiated that myself, which I was really proud of this time around. I’m really trying to be more business-minded and really just doing it myself.”
“I just think I’m at a point in my career where I really wanted to control myself.”
Erin Dolan scores a Deal
Dolan’s new deal, announced earlier this month, solidifies her role with the network. In fact, it expands her presence exponentially. She’ll now be featured across major programs like ESPN BET Live, SportsCenter, and Sunday NFL Countdown.
And who wouldn’t want to see more of Erin?
Dolan celebrated the multi-year contract renewal with the level of confidence we’ve come to expect.
“I hold myself to a high standard when making picks, and to do that confidently for fans, I’m planning to dedicate even more time to NFL and NBA coverage with this new deal,” she said.
“It’s finally football season, and it’s my time to shine.”
And man, does she shine.
Bringing different things to the Table
Erin Dolan tells the Post that she’ll be providing fans with different aspects of her personality based on the various shows on which she’ll be appearing.
“I feel like I’ve done a good job at keeping the line of entertainment and fun, while also being professional, and balancing many different hats,” the sports siren said.
“I feel like on ESPN, I have the opportunity to, let’s say, for example, on ‘SportsCenter,’ I’m not going to be my crazy fun self as much as I would be on ‘BET Live,’ and then I’m more buttoned up on ‘Countdown.’”
If you’re thinking about trying to reach out to ESPN’s latest smokeshow, you’re not going to have much luck – she’s turned off her DMs.
Why? Because too many people are judging her body on social media.
“People say, ‘She used to be thicker’ or ‘She looks so old’ or ‘She looked better before this,’” Dolan said. “… People just come for your body, and it is just nonstop… But I find them actually hilarious.”
That is hilarious. When it comes to looks, the betting analyst is clearly a perfecta.
