Reigning two-time WNBA champion A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces helped Team USA’s women’s basketball to gold during the 2024 Summer Olympics.
For the likely WNBA MVP, this just added more to a growing resume.
We’re talking about one of the best WNBA players ever. Having just turned 28 years old back on August 8, Wilson has a lot ahead of her. That could potentially include leading the Aces to a third consecutive championship mere months after earning gold in Paris.
So, her life is about as good as it gets. That hasn’t stopped some from calling out the former No. 1 overall pick from South Carolina.

Sydney Colson Calls A’ja Wilson ‘Fake’ After Gold Medal Post

Wilson took to social media to celebrate her team’s win over France in the gold medal game of the Summer Olympics. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. She was absolutely pumped.

Yup. That photo goes hard.
Apparently, Wilson’s teammate with the Aces, Sydney Colson, was not having any of it. Check out her response on X.
Wait, what? That’s a whole bunch of ouch right there.
Though, Colson is likely pointing to Wilson’s real team being the Aces. It was simply a troll job.
As for Colson, she’s in her third season with the Aces and is averaging a mere 1.9 points per game.
- A’ja Wilson stats (2024): 27.2 PPG, 12.0 RPG, 2.9 BPG, 1.9 SPG
Yeah, Wilson is on a completely different level.
Just don’t expect this to create drama. It was merely one teammate trolling another.
