When Angel Reese announced the launch of her new podcast “Unapologetically Angel”, she promised fans she’d be tackling what she determines to be false narratives and “taking (her) voice back”.

Man, did she ever. Her first episode on Thursday dove head first into the rivalry between her and Caitlin Clark, accusing the Indiana Fever star’s fans of racism, death threats, and stalking her.

Reese definitely wanted to draw attention to Clark, using her image in the thumbnail to promote her maiden podcast while promising to “spill the tea on Caitlin”.

The Chicago Sky forward did offer praise for her rival.

“Caitlin is an amazing player, and I’ve always thought she was an amazing player,” Reese said. “We’ve been playing together since high school.”

Her fans though – some of them – have been a problem, according to Reese.

Angel Reese Blasts Caitlin Clark Fans In First Podcast

Angel Reese took time away from her team’s current seven-game losing streak to grab a microphone and discuss some serious matters in her podcast.

The Sky rookie said that the rivalry between her and Clark heated up and the spotlight on her grew ever brighter when she was caught on television taunting her opponent with a ‘you can’t see me’ gesture while also pointing to her ring finger.

The incident took place during LSU’s NCAA title win over Iowa in the 2023 championship game.

She called it a moment that “changed my life forever”.

“I think it’s really just the fans, her fans, the Iowa fans, now the Indiana fans, that are really just, they ride for her, and I respect that, respectfully. But sometimes it’s very disrespectful. I think there’s a lot of racism when it comes to it,” Reese added.

More Disturbing Accusations

Angel Reese further addressed Caitlin Clark fans in her first podcast episode, making accusations that are downright frightening.

“I don’t believe [Caitlin] stands on any of that. But when it comes to death threats… like, I’m talking about people have come down to my address, follow me home… it has come down to that,” she revealed.

There’s no doubt Caitlin ‘doesn’t stand on’ any of the negative actions towards Reese. Adding the ‘I don’t believe’ descriptor is unnecessary.

Reese claims others have stalked her with disturbing images.

“Multiple occasions, people have made AI pictures of me, like naked. Literally. They have sent it to my family members. My family members are like… uncles are sending it to me like ‘Are you naked on Instagram?'” Reese continued.

“It sucks to see that, and it’s really hard that I have to go through that. And now seeing other players even having to go through that.”

Any fan engaged in such actions is a reprehensible human being. And Reese should not have to tolerate such abuse. Unfortunately, we live in a world of keyboard warriors who like to attack people who are successful.

Let’s hope Angel and her family have reported these instances of stalking and abhorrent death threats to the police.

Angel Reese concluded her podcast by saying she and Caitlin Clark have a positive respect for each other.

“At the end of the day, it’s a game that we do both love,” she said. “But there is no hate.”
