Angel Reese ignited a firestorm on social media after suggesting she currently has a cameo appearance in a movie in the works.
Reese, the Chicago Sky forward currently lighting up the basketball court in her rookie season in the WNBA, suggested she might be lighting up the screen sometime soon.
Speculation arose following news of Reese’s latest endorsement deal with Reese’s, the candy manufacturer.
“When Angel Reese gets that first movie cameo the haters will self-destruct,” a fan wrote on X.
The comment prompted this response from the former LSU star: “Oh coming soon.”
She included an emoji suggesting she sheepishly let the cat out of the bag.

Angel Reese, Movie Star?
Angel just dropped news about a huge endorsement deal with Reese’s pieces on Wednesday. Her website launched eight apparel items with a video in which she and the candies are described as “unapologetically sweet.”
That follows a partnership with Reebok that includes the launch of the “Reebok by Angel” collection, and the expectation of her own signature shoe line in the future.
She has numerous other partnerships in her arsenal as well.
So things are pretty good for the young basketball phenom. A movie appearance would come as no surprise to anybody, quite frankly.
Until that happens, her biggest role in film involves a documentary titled, The Money Game.
The documentary provides an exclusive look into the 2023-24 athletic season at LSU, focusing on how the introduction of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights has transformed college athletics.
“I love the game,” Reese says in the film. “I can also take care of my family for generations.”

What Can’t She Do?
Angel Reese has had an outstanding rookie season with the Chicago Sky. She had a dominating performance in a recent loss to the Phoenix Mercury where she dropped 19 points and hauled in 20 rebounds.
Twenty.
Earlier this season, Reese ran through a streak of 15 consecutive games where she posted a double-double, also a rookie record.
Perhaps the best movie role would involve sports. Maybe, say, a sports comedy?
Adam Sandler recently confirmed that Travis Kelce will have a role in the Happy Gilmore sequel. Could Angel Reese find her way into that movie?
Something’s obviously “coming” as she said. Can’t wait to see what’s next for the WNBA star.
