Angel Reese will be making her debut with the Chicago Sky of the WNBA on Wednesday, but today she took time out to celebrate something even greater.
Graduation!
Reese took a moment on X to post about the excellent news that she is moving on from LSU.
“Ahhh i graduate on Saturday!!!” she wrote. “ON TIME IN MY 4 YEARS i don’t have to wake up and think about another assignment lmaoooo,” Reese wrote on X.
And her Mom seems to be the biggest fan of her achievement.
“I called my momma & she running around the house so happy cause she know all the odds that were against me & she so happy it’s all over and i can live my best life now,” adds Reese.

GPA Spat Put To Rest
News of Angel Reese’s graduation puts to rest a semi-feud between her mother and the mother of a teammate that took place earlier in the college basketball season.
Reese was benched early on for undisclosed reasons, prompting a social media dustup between her mom and the mother of teammate Flau’jae Johnson.
“Folks pls do not send me long text msgs with a bunch of grammatical errors it gives me a headache,” Reese’s mom posted to Instagram. “How do I know if you said what you said if I can’t understand what you’re saying?”
Johnson’s mother shot back: “You definitely know about grammar errors when your daughter got a 2.0 or less GPA.”
Yikes.

Angel Reese Says She’s Only Human
LSU requires a 2.0 GPA in order to graduate. So Angel Reese obviously, if it was ever low to begin with, put the work in to get her grades up and graduate.
A reason to celebrate.
Reese has struggled to shed the villain role during her basketball career, sometimes prompting rivals to lash out. But teammates? Moms of teammates?
After her Tigers lost to Iowa in the Elite Eight, she switched from that villain role and revealed a more vulnerable side.
“I’ve been through so much.” Reece said, “I’ve seen so much. I’ve been attacked so many times. Death threats. I’ve been sexualized, I’ve been threatened, I’ve been so many things.”
“I just want them to just know that I’m still human.”
Later in the same press conference, Reese said, “Hopefully the little girls that look up to me, I can give them some inspiration.”
Graduating from college is even more reason to be inspired.
