WNBA star Angel Reese made history as Victoria’s Secret’s first professional athlete angel, debuting on the runway at the brand’s 2025 fashion show in New York City on Wednesday.
Backstage photos captured the Chicago Sky All-Star getting glammed up in a signature pink-and-white striped bra and underwear set, complete with a personalized robe and rollers in her hair.
“Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria’s Secret ANGEL,” Reese wrote on Instagram. “I’m finally getting my wings.”
“I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny,” the basketball star said, clearly smitten with herself. “Wings on, heels ready…Catch me on the runway.”
Reese posted additional snaps in a lace black bra and undies set while sporting big ol’ wings.
Angel Reese is officially an angel, but so is Suni Lee
Angel wasn’t the only athlete on the runway at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Gymnast Suni Lee was also taking part in the fun.
Lee wore a PINK crop top, blue boy shorts, and a pink wrap.
The event marked a historic crossover of elite athletes into high-fashion lingerie modeling, blending sports empowerment with diversity.
Lee won her second gold medal last summer at the Olympic Games in Paris. She and Reese have both had modeling experience as featured ladies in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit pages.

It’s just destiny
As much as you might love seeing Reese on the Victoria’s Secret runway, nobody loves it more than Angel herself.
“With my name also being Angel, I think it’s literally perfect. It was destined for me, I think this is already for me,” she said, according to the New York Post. “So I’m just really happy to be sitting in this room with so many amazing modes, so many amazing models.”
Glad she finally found a group of people she likes to work with.
Reese made headlines last month by throwing her Sky teammates under the bus and demanding that the franchise acquire better players during the offseason, or she may consider leaving.
“I’m not settling for the same (expletive) we did this year,” Reese told the outlet. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a nonnegotiable for me.”
“I’m willing and wanting to play with the best,” she continued. “And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason to make sure we attract the best of the best, because we can’t settle for what we have this year.”
Reese was suspended for half a game for the comments and claimed she was taken out of context.
