Caitlin Clark had a difficult time controlling her laughter after teammate Lexie Hull made an awkward comment at their latest press conference.

The giggle fest between Clark, Hull, and Kelsey Mitchell was too cute and quite frankly, shows the Indiana Fever stars are really just one of us.

Or maybe they were just in a really, really good mood after defeating the Connecticut Sun, 84-80. It was the team’s fourth win in the last five games.

Hull was questioned by a reporter about her defensive plan of attack. To which the guard answered – what she at first thought was – innocently enough.

Caitlin Clark Can’t Hide The Laughter Over Lexie’s Basketball Comment

In all of one sentence, Hull managed to go from a reasonable take on her on-court approach to basketball, to forcing Caitlin Clark into turning her head and trying to control the laughter. In vain, I might add.

“So [I was] trying to be as active as I could and get my hands on as many balls as I could,” Hull said.

Clark turned to Mitchell as if to say, ‘Did you hear what I just heard?’

She then dropped her head immediately, prompting all three ladies to begin giggling out of control.

“Caitlin?” Hull asked, checking if things were okay.

She replied, “Oh, Lex”.

Indianapolis Star reporter Chloe Peterson explained that Clark later tried to defend the laughter saying, “I tried to hold it in!”

Red Sox Announcers Also Had A Similar Chuckle

Maybe the ladies were just in a silly mood. Riding high after inching ever-closer to a .500 record, and putting themselves in a much better playoff position.

Or maybe there was just something in the water on Wednesday.

Because the broadcast booth for the Boston Red Sox also had an issue with a comment that might have had a little innuendo in it. And, like Caitlin Clark and Hull getting her hands on basketballs, they couldn’t control themselves either.

Will Flemming asked his broadcast partners Sean McDonough and Lou Merloni about golfing sometime. And then this happened.

“How about a little threesome? This booth, we could do some damage.” Flemming said.

And chaos ensued.

When athletes end up giggling like school kids, it’s kind of hard not to laugh along.
