Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to secure a triple-double Saturday, and her teammates celebrated the feat wildly in the locker room afterward.
You may recall that Clark fell just one rebound short of the historic accomplishment last weekend in her team’s win against Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury.
This time, she made history.
The rookie sensation scored 19 points, dished out 13 assists, and grabbed 12 boards in her team’s 83-78 victory over the New York Liberty.

Team Celebrates Caitlin Clark’s Historic Triple Double
Man, it’s one thing if Caitlin Clark accomplished the historic triple-double against one of the league’s doormats. But she did it against the mighty first-place Liberty.
Critics kept telling us her game wouldn’t translate to the WNBA. That all she brings to the table is three-point shooting.
Can you imagine what she’ll do when she finally figures things out?
In the meantime, her teammates had a lot of fun with Caitlin Clark in the locker room following her triple-double performance against a league powerhouse.

All Class Afterward As Usual
In yet another incredible moment after the historic feat, one of Clark’s teammates wasn’t ready to allow her to be humble about her achievement.
She tried though, regardless. Because that’s the kind of class you expect from the Indiana Fever rookie. Clark was praising her teammates by noting that she couldn’t tally the assists without her fellow Fever players sinking buckets.
âHonestly, Iâm just happy we won,” said Clark.
Forward Aliyah Boston wasn’t letting her get away that easy, however, chiming in at that moment.
âSheâs so humble, isnât she? Let me tell you, thatâs pretty cool, Caitlin. Great job sister,â Boston said.

‘Great job’ is an understatement. You gotta love her teammates finally speaking up to give her some praise, though.
âObviously, itâs really cool,” Clark would eventually admit.
