Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter – arguably most famous for smacking Caitlin Clark early in the WNBA season – took issue with her video game likeness in the soon-to-be-released NBA 2K25.
Carter posted a side-by-side of herself in real life and her portrayal in the video game in an Instagram story.
And OMG, she may have a point.
“They wrong for this,” she wrote.
Carter added a laughing while crying emoji to the post. And if you ain’t laughing at the video game portrayal, you’re crying.

Chennedy Carter Not Happy With NBA 2K25
Can you blame Chennedy Carter for calling out the NBA 2K25 franchise for this portrayal? Perhaps they could have used some imaging involving her hip-checking her unsuspecting opponents like she did Clark.
It could have added to the realism.
Or, you know, wildly clubbing her opponent in the face, like she recently did to Connecticut Sun guard Marina Mabrey. It’s all about making the game more believable.
Maybe an animation after Clark drains a game-winning three-pointer in which Carter shrugs and says, ‘All she does is shoot threes’.
Throw in a little sad trombone music to add to the moment.
The WNBA has been part of the NBA 2K series for a few years now, but NBA 2K25 seems to be pushing further with detailed representations of all of the league’s teams and players as playable options.
Listen I root for Chennedy Carter. I think she's talented with a lot of potential.

But you can't tell me at ANY point in this play did she think she'd be making contact with the ball, wasn't even close.
It's just a dirty play.#wnba #skytown

Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark Don’t Have The Same Issue
Unfortunately from Chennedy Carter’s point of view, her Sky teammate Angel Reese and Fever rookie Caitlin Clark both look fantastic in the new version of NBA 2K25.
Carter, earlier this season, slammed ESPN for their list ranking the top 25 WNBA players in which Clark was ranked well ahead of her.
“Hate be so obvious,” she wrote.
Clark trounces Carter in all aspects of the game this season. It’s not even close. Perhaps that’s why they spent a little more time on making sure her NBA 2K25 appearance is a little more accurate.
The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on September 6th.
