Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham shared a lighthearted social media video of herself dancing in a bikini while wearing a leg brace as she continues to recover from a season-ending knee injury.
Cunningham suffered a season-ending MCL tear in her right knee during a game against the Connecticut Sun back in mid-August. For those fans saddened by that injury and the resulting lack of social media content since, Sophie delivered a memorable bit.
Following surgery, the Fever enforcer showed off her dance moves in a barely there bikini, all while wearing a leg brace and lip-syncing lyrics to Renee Rapp’s song “I Think I Like You Better When You’re Gone.”
It was a sight to behold – even with the massive leg brace on her 6’1″ frame. And fans clearly enjoyed the amusing video, hitting over 2 million views at the time of this report.

Sophie Cunningham – Social Media Sensation
It’s not the first time Sophie has posted dance videos on social media for her thirsty fans. Cunningham celebrated reaching 1 million TikTok followers with a dance video back in June.

Cunningham’s popularity on the socials skyrocketed after she defended teammate Caitlin Clark during a heated game against the Connecticut Sun.
Cunningham delivered a retaliatory foul on Sun guard Jacy Sheldon, who had poked Clark in the eye, a move that prompted Sheldon’s teammate Marina Mabrey to slam the WNBA star to the floor. Sophie was ejected from the game.
Things were HEATED between the Sun and Fever tonight 😳

That said, she’s always been a sensation online, wowing fans with her game-day and event outfits.
Cunningham, who was with the Phoenix Mercury prior to being signed by Indiana, was flat-out breaking necks with her look at last year’s WNBA All-Star Weekend.
Career as a Pro Wrestler?
In fact, Sophie Cunningham is such a hot commodity these days that a pro wrestling promotion co-owned by Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss and David McLane expressed strong interest in signing her.
Buss and her Women of Wrestling (WOW) promotion praised Cunningham’s talent and competitiveness.
“We would love to have [Sophie] join us at [WOW],” Buss wrote on X. “She is talented, dedicated, and a fierce competitor!”
She is all of those things. Who among us is not envisioning her in that bikini and ripping off the leg brace ala “Cowboy” Bob Orton and laying a beatdown on her opponents? Good stuff right there.

Cunningham’s season-ending injury occurred in the second quarter of an eventual 99-93 Fever win, when she collided with guard Bria Hartley. But she harbors no ill will toward her opponent.
“I think that there was no ill intent. I think that it was a basketball play. I was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. She fell,” Cunningham explained. “Like, there’s no way that she would go in there and potentially try to hurt me, and so I have nothing but love for Bria.”
