Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese hammered a radio host who suggested her increasingly famous skimpy outfits “cheapen” her brand.

A radio producer and personality known as Jelly Santos launched an impromptu attack on Reese saying she is “acting like a girl with a nice body that don’t know what to do with it.”

“These outfits cheapen her brand. Like she went on some other show and the outfit was so cheap and stupid,” Santos continued. “Like girl get it together man.”

She was immediately met with a torrent of criticism for her post by fans of Angel. On a side note, the response to her post is further evidence that it isn’t just Caitlin Clark fans who get a little crazy on social media.

The hate for this woman suggesting a more modest wardrobe is bizarre.

Angel Reese Slams Critics Of Her Outfits

Of all the emotional responses to Santos’ comments, the obvious important one came from Angel Reese herself. The WNBA star tore into those criticizing her outfits.

“I thought the brand was ‘cheapened,'” Reese fired back. “CRY ABOUT IT.”

Santos followed up her original post by referencing a lingerie shoot that Reese apparently took part in. (That shoot was extra spicy. You’ll have to check it out on X here.)

“But that shot in the lingerie on the floor gives me sad vibes,” she said. “Cuz why you doing this at this time in your career?”

“You couldn’t wait til apple bottom jeans with the fur came back?” Santos joked. “Nelly said it’s almost here.”

I don’t know, man. Angel Reese looked pretty amazing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show alongside singer and actress Coco Jones.

Still, it’s odd seeing Reese show off in the manner she has when not so long ago she was sobbing to the media, “I’ve been sexualized.”

What About Her Outfits?

Angel Reese made some noise over the summer by skipping out on a WNBA All-Star orange carpet event and attending an NBA Summer League game instead.

The rookie sensation certainly turned some heads at the time. She went viral for wearing a super-conservative and reserved outfit.

Reese, of course, made her debut as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model in 2023. So we already know she looks fantastic.

The outlet referred to her as the ‘Bayou Barbie.’

Is it ‘cheapening’ her brand as Santos said, or do people just need to stop crying about it?
