Video of Angel Reese struggling to make multiple layup attempts went viral after the Chicago Sky star demanded more money from the WNBA.
Reese made the comments on her podcast late last week, discussing a possible work stoppage with Dallas Wings guard Dijonai Carrington. To be clear, a strike for the WNBA of any significant time would blunt any momentum brought in by Caitlin Clark and ultimately sink the league.
But the ladies don’t seem all that concerned. They want more money, and they want it now.
“I’ve got to get in the meetings because I’m hearing like, ‘If y’all don’t give us what we want, we sitting out,’” Reese said.
“That’s a possibility,” Carrington replied.
Unfortunately, Reese keeps providing reasons why she doesn’t deserve more money.
Angel Reese Continues Struggling Against Her Old Nemesis – The Layup
In a case of very unfortunate timing, Angel Reese followed up her comments about deserving to be paid more by the WNBA by taking part in a game for the Unrivaled League.
Reese put up her usual double-double in a game against the Vinyl BC on Monday – 10 points and 13 rebounds. Unfortunately, a bunch of those rebounds came on a pair of scoring opportunities when she completely whiffed on shots about a foot from the rim.
Good Lord, this is atrocious.

You might as well make that a staple soundbite for any broadcast involving the Sky Forward. Bronny James thinks Reese needs to work on her mechanics.

Who Can Fix Her Game?
Angel Reese was so poor at shooting layups during her rookie season in the WNBA that fans started suspecting the misses were intentional to pad her rebounding stats.
These videos will do nothing to dissuade them. And they had a field day with the fact that Reese thinks she deserves to get paid more.
“Angel Reese DESERVES more money,” a fan account named Hater Report mocked. “PAY HER, PLEASE.”
“Does she ever make shots?” another viewer wondered. “Or get rebounds that aren’t off her own misses? Seems like every time I scroll X I see 50 of these clips. How the hell can she miss 15+ layups per game?”
I mean, you just saw with your own eyes how she can do that.
Two-time WNBA champion Lisa Leslie recently offered to help fix Angel Reese’s game – particularly the layup.
“The biggest advice I have for you is going to be how you shoot your layups, period,” Leslie said. “Like, we’re gonna fix that. That’s fixable for you.”
Have at it, Leslie. It can’t get any worse at this point.
