At Tuesday night’s live broadcast of their weekly two hour show on the USA Network, there was a special guest backstage at NXT.
The newly signed CM Punk.
Sean Ross Sapp reported this 45 minutes before the show began.
What’s Punk Doing?
Sapp reported through his subscription service Fightful Select that CM Punk had been “hanging out” throughout the day.
According to Ibou at WrestlePurists, Punk is around NXT because his “long term goal is to succeed Shawn Michaels in NXT.”
It’s likely he was seeing how things run in Orlando, where NXT runs at the WWE Performance Center, to get an idea of the show’s inner workings.
Punk appeared on NXT’s Deadline Premium Live Event on Saturday night.
What happens next? With CM Punk, only one thing is for sure – you never know.
