Video footage obtained by TMZ Sports shows Poole and Green appearing to jaw at each other as Green makes his way to the side of the court.

Green then begins to approach Poole and is followed by what appears to be a coach or some kind of staff member. Poole can be seen stepping away from Green and even off the court. Green then bumps his chest into Poole’s. Poole responds by shoving Green away.

After that Green delivers a superman punch to Poole’s face. Poole then crumples to the ground with Green on top of him.

According to NBC Sports, she replied, “They can get beyond this. Anything is fixable! Everything ain’t always what you think you see!”

Twitter user ElSleepyFloyd replied, “Ma’am. With all due respect, I saw your son sucker punch his teammate w/ my own eyes on that clip.”

The user added, “In my 37 years as a Warriors fan the worst thing for me was hearing Spree choked Coach Carlisimo and I saw no footage of that. And, we weren’t the reigning Champs. this sucks.”

Babers Green took issue with the description of Green’s attack on Poole as a sucker punch replying, “That wasn’t a Sucker punch. Dray didn’t aggressively go to Poole. His hands were down. Man to Man you go over to talk (to ask what’s up, what you say)! Got shoved and reacted.. End of story!”

Green addressed the media on Saturday indicating the motive for the attack against Poole had nothing to do with either him or Poole vying for bigger paydays and new contracts with the Warriors.

He did admit that he was in a bad mood, ““I think the day that took place I was in a very, very bad space mentally, dealing with some things in my personal life that I quite frankly not certain that — I can’t sit here and say like, ‘Oh you’re dealing with some things in your personal that that didn’t shorten your temper, that that didn’t change your reaction in moments.

“All those things are tied together, and I think that’s where you get to see the human being side of us. Where if you are dealing with something, when you step on the court it just doesn’t go away. That’s the same brain, that’s the same body that is dealing with something that’s now stepping on to that court,” he added.

Green continued, “And as a leader of this team I needed to have a better feel for myself and just know and understand where my wick’s end was and what could possibly push me the wrong way.”

“And quite frankly I didn’t handle that well and I failed as a leader. And in turn I failed as a man, I failed as a leader. And in turn it’s led to this and so for me personally I have to take what comes with that and deal with that and continue to better myself as a I will,” he said.

However, when he was asked about what specifically happened that led to him viciously striking Poole, Green answered, “Well, we were in practice. I think things that happened in practice should stay in practice. Quite frankly, to sit here and discuss what went on and what didn’t could possibly change opinions and I’m not here to change opinion. I’m here to acknowledge my mistakes and what I did wrong and move forward from there.”

He went on state, “I’m not going to discuss what happened in that practice or any practice. What happens in our practices should stay in our practices. And that’s why it’s a disappointment that a video will get leaked, but in saying that I’m not going to come to discuss what actually happened or try to change any opinions. The opinions are the opinions and that’s just that and everybody’s entitled to that. I’m not here to change. I’m here to admit my fault, admit my mistakes, and move forward.”
