Saucy Brew Works is releasing a special beverage called Stealing Signs this Friday for Buckeyes fans, a nod to Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh’s recent woes

As if the backlash from the Michigan spying scandal couldn’t look any worse for coach Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines, an Ohio brewery is adding to the venom. Or in this case, the beer.

Saucy Brew Works, a Cleveland-based brewery, released a Michigan-themed beer called “Stealing Signs”. The beer is a Double Dry Hopped Hazy Pale Ale with 6.5% ABV and the can is maize and blue and features a caricature of Jim Harbaugh.

The beer was sold in 16-ounce four-packs at 11 AM on Friday at all five Saucy Brew Works locations – Columbus, Cleveland, Pinecrest, Sandusky, and Put-in-Bay.

Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football program have been at the center of sign-stealing allegations over the past few weeks. One of their assistants was caught attending the opposing team’s games and gaining an unfair advantage by analyzing how they relay their calls.

Harbaugh, who was suspended by the Big Ten over the allegations, will not be attending his squad’s contest against Ohio State.

Jim Harbaugh has been coaching at the University of Michigan since 2015. He has compiled a 74-25 record and is 53-17 in Big Ten games. He has led U-M to five 10-win seasons and seven bowl games, including consecutive College Football Playoff Semifinal appearances in 2021 and ’22.

This isn’t the first time that Saucy Brew Works has released a “Stealing Signs” beverage. They released the original version to make fun of the Houston Astros, who were involved in a sign-stealing scandal back in 2020.
