According to NBA Insiders, suspended Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green could make his eventual return as soon as the middle of next month. That’s provided he’s satisfied the league office that he’s made progress regarding his on-court behavior going forward.

An Imminent Return For Draymond Green?

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, a longtime NBA analyst, posted on X recently that “there’s a general belief that his suspension will cover a range of 11 to 13 games — barring any setbacks.”

Green was suspended indefinitely earlier this month when he took a swing at Suns center Jusuf Nurkic. In the end, Green ended up striking the 7-foot Bosnian in the head.

That prompted NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to temporarily send him to the sidelines. It was the sixth time that the valuable (but often violent) power forward has been suspended in his 11-year career with the Warriors.

The NBA Is Monitoring Draymond Green’s ‘Rehabilitation’

As part of his reinstatement process, Draymond Green is taking part in individual counseling sessions and participating in periodic virtual meetings designed to chart his progress that include team and league officials.

The owner of four NBA Championship rings, four NBA All-Star selections, and one Defensive Player of the Year Award (in 2017), Draymond Green has been a valued member of the Warriors’ recent dynasty. But his numbers have been down in recent years, as he’s averaging less than seven rebounds per game and looks a step slower on defense.

Likewise, his being out of action isn’t doing much to help Golden State right now, either. The Warriors are currently 15-15, and treading water at 10th place in the Western Conference.
