Former Pro Bowl quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champ Jim McMahon said that it’s time to “close the damn borders” when asked what he might do if he were in the White House.

McMahon, known throughout his career as a brash “punky QB”, offered his thoughts on what a presidential ticket including former All-Pro offensive lineman Kyle Turley might offer.

“I’d close the damn borders for one and then go find all the people that got in here illegally,” he said.

Jim McMahon: Close The Borders, California Is Garbage

“It’s ridiculous,” McMahon continued. “We’re paying all this money as taxpayers, and it’s not helping us at all. We’re sending it all overseas, you know. Who knows where we’re sending it, but it’s not being used here in the states.”

The former NFL quarterback also took aim at liberal policies, particularly in the left-wing hell hole known as California.

“You look at California. They get the most money every year for homelessness, and they got the worst homeless population in the country or probably the world,” said McMahon. “There’s just so many things going wrong.”

“We got to just stop the crazy spending and printing money and close our borders and let’s clean house.”

Now that’s a platform anybody in their right mind could get behind.

Jim McMahon is best known for his time as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL News), particularly his successful tenure with the Chicago Bears. He played college football at Brigham Young University (BYU), where he set numerous records and was an All-American.

He won a championship with the Bears in ’85 and, what might come as a surprise, as a backup on the Green Bay Packers to Brett Favre in Super Bowl XXXI.

McMahon was perhaps best known for his cocky attitude and motorcycle rides, which ultimately gave rise to the Bears epic and cocky Super Bowl Shuffle video.

That video, for our younger readers, was released two months before the Bears even played in Super Bowl XX which they handily won, 46-10, over the New England Patriots. Talk about ballsy.

Jim McMahon rushed for two touchdowns in that game for a team widely regarded as the best football team of all time.

His career was later riddled with injuries and the NFL legend would eventually bounce around to other clubs including the Packers, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Los Angeles Chargers (San Diego at the time).

McMahon won NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 1991 as a Philadelphia Eagle.
