The Pat McAfee Show, which airs on ESPN, had been a platform for Rodgers to discuss various topics, including his controversial comments about Jimmy Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein.

Those comments seemingly got the former Packers signal-caller banned from the show for the rest of the season. McAfee even celebrated the move in an announcement on Wednesday.

“So, Aaron Rodgers Tuesday season four is done,” he said. “There are going to be a lot of people happy with that, myself included, to be honest with you. The way it ended, it got real loud.”

Rodgers had made a benign comment about Kimmel and the Jeffrey Epstein scandal which the media and the late-night host have since blown out of proportion.

Aaron Rodgers Was Removed From The Pat McAfee Show … For One Day

McAfee did give himself an out on the season-long ban on Aaron Rodgers claiming his appearances have always been an NFL seasonal thing and that he would continue to “make random surprise welcomed pop-ins during big events or offseason adventures.”

Which is in contrast to McAfee’s previous statement that didn’t address the end of the Jets season at all and specifically blamed Rodgers’ comments about Kimmel.

“We live in a country that has freedom of speech, but you’re going to have to deal with consequences of your freedom of speech,” he said.

What a rube.

Lo and behold, a couple of big events took place just one day later. As such, Rodgers was there to discuss the retirement of Alabama head coach Nick Saban and the divorce between Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.

McAfee introduced Rodgers as “the last human that Bill Belichick talked to on the field as the New England Patriots head coach.”

Rodgers watched from the sidelines due to injury as his Jets unceremoniously dumped Belichick and the Patriots 17-3, ending what some would argue was the most successful coaching stint in NFL history.

The two spoke briefly on the field after the game.

“We played him (The Hoodie) in 2018 and 2022, and both times, he waited to make sure that he saw me after the game,” Rodgers told McAfee. “I just thought that that was one of the classiest things ever, and I have so much respect for him doing that.”
