NCAA Basketball: Pac-12 Conference Tournament Quarterfinal-Southern California vs Arizona
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

After finishing the season with a 21-point loss to Arizona in the Pac-10 tournament, USC Trojans guard Bronny James is taking his talents to the NBA.

James’ showing in that game included 3 points and 1 rebound in 22 minutes against the Wildcats.

No matter. The son of NBA legend LeBron James had seen enough with his body of work. A season that saw him average 4.8 points per game.

Or, to put it in more relatable terms – he averaged 0.15 Caitlin Clarks. An NBA resume if ever there was one.

Where Is Bronny James Projected To Land?

News of Bronny James entering the NBA draft comes just weeks after mock drafts showed his stock plummeting. Why? Because he wasn’t playing very good basketball.

And let me tell you something, he must have been on a tear at that point because James was averaging a staggering 5.5 points per game at the time.

Now? Go ahead and look at the latest mock drafts. His name is nowhere to be found.

In addition to his 2 and 4/5ths buckets per game, James finished the season averaging 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

That’s right, He averaged a Triple-Single for the season.

Oh, and he also got himself added to a poster featuring Auburn center Dylan Cardwell.

LeBron Says He’s Ready

Look, I don’t want to pick on the kid. I don’t want to pick on anybody who had to go through what he went through with the cardiac arrest and all.

But LeBron makes it so damn hard.

Daddy James proclaimed to the world that Bronny could play for the Los Angeles Lakers “right now” and that he is “definitely better” than some players currently in the league.

Narrator: ‘He’s not. He’s lucky USC allowed him to stay on the roster.’

“He could play for us right now,” James said following a Lakers loss to the Memphis Grizzlies back in January. “Easy. EASY.”

Time to put your money where LeBron’s mouth is at, Los Angeles. Are you gonna throw away a draft pick to make his dream of playing with his son true?

Fortunately for Bronny James, there is a backup plan. He also recently announced a move to the transfer portal. If he goes undrafted, he can return to college and continue his education and athletic career.

That raises some questions though. Going undrafted would be a huge embarrassment for the son of a guy who calls himself ‘King James’.

Do LeBron and Bronny know something we don’t? Will LA pull the trigger? Is there an NBA franchise out there in desperate need of putting butts in seats? Only time will tell.
