A British nanny is being hailed as a hero after she used her quick thinking to save the lives of the three children of the professional soccer star Harry Kane.
Nanny Saves Kane Children
Daily Mail reported that the Bayern MunichĀ andĀ EnglandĀ starĀ KaneĀ had just landed in London at around 5:15pm last Monday when three of his four children (Ā Ivy, 7, Vivienne, five, and Louis, 3) were in a Mercedes van that collided withĀ a Renault near Schaftlarn, just south of Munich. Kane’s wife Katie and their 7 month-old son Harry were not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The Mercedes van was driven by Kane’s 24 year-old British nanny, whose name has not been released, and she’s been hailed as a hero that likely saved the lives of the soccer star’s kids.
“The Kaneās nanny did an incredible job of protecting the children,” a source told The Sun. “None of this is her fault. She might be on German roads, but she had right-of-way. It was the German driver who cut across her path and smashed into her.”
“She would only have had milliseconds to react,” the source continued. “You can see from the pictures it was a serious smash, but the Kane children would have felt nothing other than a bang. She really has averted disaster.”
“It was clearly the Renault that caused the crash. The Kanesā Mercedes had right-of-way and the other driver has cut across the van,” the insider explained. āIt doesnāt bear thinking about what might have happened if the nanny had been going any faster.”
Mercedes Van Left With ‘A Lot Of Damage’
Local fire chief Daniel Buck said that the Kane family’s Mercedes van “had a lot of damage,” and that eight people were taken to the hospital with injuries that turned out to be minor.
āThe good news was nobody had really strong injuries, more minor injuries typical for a car accident,” he added. “Thank God nobody was really injured. It was really lucky for all.ā
As for the Renault driver who caused the crash, who has only been identified as a 20 year-old woman, she could be hit with just a small fine for the incident.
“If anyone was injured the driver could be prosecuted for negligent assault,” the insider said. “But incredibly, everyone was unharmed – so she will likely just get a fixed penalty notice and claims against her insurance.”
“She must have been stunned when she found out she smashed into the Bayern starās car,” this source concluded.

Kane Keeps Playing After Crash
The nanny is said to have been āleft terrifiedā by the incident. Kane himself, however, appears to be undeterred, as he played and even scored in the Champions League game the night after the crash.
“There was a crash, but the kids are fine, and none were injured,” Kane’s spokesman said in a statement. “No injuries at all. They went to hospital for a routine check-up.”
The Mirror reported that last summer, Kane signed a four-year deal after joining Bayern Munich in a record ā¬100 million contract. Though he continued to play after the crash, this likely served as a sobering reminder to him and his family about just how fragile life really is.
Here’s hoping that when Kane gets back to Germany, he gives his young nanny a raise, because she certainly deserves one!
