The Masters will open on Thursday from the famed Augusta National in Georgia. It remains the single-most popular tournament on the PGA Tour and one of the most-watched events on the sports calendar.

The first Masters was played back in 1934 after amateur champion Bobby Jones founded it. Since then, we’ve seen history play out at the 18-hole course in Georgia.

From Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus in previous eras to Tiger Woods’ domination at The Masters, some of the greatest memories in sports can be led back to Augusta.

With the 2024 iteration of the event set to start soon, an little-known quirk is making its rounds. That is to say, extremely cheap concession price at the annual event. Check it out. Really, it seems like The Masters is stuck in the 1970s with its prices.

Are you kidding me? $3.00 for a barbecue pork sandwich? $5.00 for a beer? $3.00 for a breakfast sandwich? How are vendors actually making money? It’s absolutely insane. You can hold up at the four-day event for breakfast and lunch for a total of $24.00. Add two beers a day, and that’s a total of $64.00. Craziness.

Needless to say, those who caught wind of the prices had their reactions. They were pretty much as shocking as you might expect.
