As a wise man named Mickey once said, ‘Women weaken legs.’ Tiger Woods appears to be taking that mantra to heart.
A friend of Eldrick’s tells the New York Post that the 5-time winner of the Masters is preparing quite seriously for this year’s tournament.
He’s working out. He’s eating healthy.
And he’s apparently abstaining from ‘lying down with ladies’ – as the late, great Norm MacDonald used to say.
Wood’s friend tells the Post, “He’s focused.”
“He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex,” his pal states. “He does that now when he’s preparing: no sex until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.”

Now, there are two schools of thought here. Some will admire the dedication. Tiger Woods appears to be focusing on the Masters through a regimen of saying your prayers, eating your vitamins, and keeping at least one club in the bag for the week.
Impressive.
Then there’s the flip side of that coin. Everybody is well aware of Tiger’s cheating scandal in 2009. We once again defer to Norm for a little background on that. Because it’s funny.
So we know he likes the ladies. But some people – not me, but some people – would point out that before his cheating scandal was revealed to the world in 2009, Tiger Woods won 14 of his 15 Majors.
He won one of the 15 after being exposed. You know, when he was able to shag balls with the local Perkins waitress without risk.
Perhaps this latest news explains the look on his face while staring at Elin Nordegren last week.

What Are His Odds
Of course, all of this is speculation. Maybe the no-sex routine works. Maybe it doesn’t.
Tiger Woods’ friend though indicates there are no current love interests to get in the way of the PGA legend’s training.
“There’s no one to speak of,” he said. Which, naturally, makes it easier to avoid having sex.
Tiger is currently sitting at +10000 betting odds to win the 2024 Masters. Will that line float now that we know how seriously he is taking his prep work?
Scottie Scheffler is currently the favorite at +400. He won the Masters in 2022 and is currently the world’s #1 ranked golfer.
