Bill Belichick, the new head coach of the University of North Carolina’s football team, has faced public scrutiny not only for his coaching but also for his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.

Sometimes the commentary regarding the couple has been funny. Sometimes it has been highly negative. But it has never been boring.

During this past weekend’s game against Charlotte, the stadium’s video crew added a new twist and decided to troll Hudson in epic fashion.

They broke out a “Gold Digger Cam” on the jumbotron.

Hudson, a former Miss Maine finalist and entrepreneur, has been in the spotlight since her relationship with the legendary eight-time Super Bowl champion coach became public earlier this year.

But that spotlight became intense with the opposing team’s brutal jab.

Jordon Hudson Ain’t Gonna be Happy

I’m not sure where Charlotte was going with this one.

I mean, just because you’re dating (engaged?) to a man nearly half a century older than you, who made over $200 million in contracts when he coached the New England Patriots, and who just signed a 5-year, $50 million contract with UNC, and nobody had heard the name Jordon Hudson prior to them dating, doesn’t make her a gold digger. Does it?

Alright, so maybe that’s the literal definition.

Good thing for Charlotte? They can feign ignorance since the 49ers, their mascot and team name, are actual gold diggers.

Jordon is no doubt going to be a little ticked off when she finds out how her man’s opponent trolled her. If you thought she was out of control with that CBS interview, wait until she lights into Charlotte officials.

Thankfully, she might not be too upset. She did get the last laugh, with UNC and Belichick earning their first victory over the 49ers, 20-3.

Ripe for the Picking On

Jordon has put herself in a position where it’s just too easy to make fun of Belichick and his new muse. Hudson has been a punchline during Saturday Night Live broadcasts. She’s been the butt of jokes from Snoop Dogg. Even Tom Brady has had a good laugh or two at her expense.

It’s not the first time a sports team has disrespected her, either.

Earlier in the MLB season, the Colorado Rockiesā€˜ social media team humorously referenced Belichick and his much younger girlfriend after a 21-0 loss ot the San Diego Padres.

Instead of posting the game score after the loss, the Rockies mimicked Hudson’s quote from the aforementioned CBS interview.

ā€œWe’re not talking about this,ā€ they wrote on X, adding an image of an angry-looking Hudson during her beau’s interview.

Following a season-opening loss, Belichick was mocked by TCU Horned Frogs safety Bud Clark, who suggested UNC’s coach “gotta call for his girlfriend” because “he sad.”

This won’t be the last time you see opposing teams try to get under the coach’s skin—or Hudson’s, for that matter.
