When you win, everything else takes care of itself. Or at least that is life as Dan Lanning knows it at the University of Oregon.

The No. 1-ranked Ducks took a break from prep for the Big Ten championship game on Saturday to score a few more victories on Signing Day.

Oregon swiped two blue-chip prospects on Wednesday on the opening day of the early signing period — quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, who committed to Cal, and Na’eem Offord, a cornerback who spent the past 10 months planning to play at Ohio State.

Sagapolutele, the top-ranked player from Hawaii, is listed as the No. 9 quarterback in the nation by 247Sports. He committed to the Golden Bears in July, then opted to take official visits to Georgia and Oregon in a sign of trouble for Cal.

The Ducks signed their three five-star commits Wednesday morning, who include Dakorien Moore from Duncanville, Texas, who is No. 1 wide receiver in the class.

Nobody appears to be running away from competition in Eugene.

Sagapolutele is the second quarterback in Oregon’s 2025 class, joining fellow four-star prospect Akili Smith Jr., who is listed as the No. 15 QB nationally.

Smith’s father played quarterback at Oregon from 1997-98 and was a first-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals. The two played at the same high school — Lincoln in San Diego.

Offord, from Parker High School in Birmingham, Ala., is the nation’s No. 2 cornerback, as ranked by the 247Sports composite.
