Tinashe, a 32-year-old R&B singer and songwriter from Pasadena, California, stunned baseball fans with a powerful rendition of the national anthem before Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday.
The game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays at Dodger Stadium ended badly for the home team. Making the anthem perhaps the lone highlight of the night for fans.
Major League Baseball (MLB) posted video of Tinashe’s performance on Instagram, calling it “incredible.”
Tinashe, raised in Los Angeles, launched her multifaceted career as a child actress in films like The Polar Express and as a member of the girl group “The Stunners” before breaking through as an independent R&B singer-songwriter with her 2014 hit “2 On.”
Fans love Tinashe, too
Baseball fans erupted on social media, hailing Tinashe as “probably the most beautiful human on the planet” and showering her with marriage proposals and exclamations of awe.
“Tinashe is probably the most beautiful human on the planet,” one fan wrote on X. It’s an argument in which she certainly could make a case.
“Tinashe really delivered, her control & stage presence were flawless. It’s not easy to perform a song that emotional in front of thousands, but she made it look effortless,” another fan complimented her.
Sports broadcaster Alanna Rizzo chimed in: “Great job, @Tinashe. THAT is how you sing the National Anthem.”
Another fan gushed, “Tinashe knocked that out of the park. OMG.”

Loving the national anthem again
As readers of Bounding Into Sports know, sports fans have been loving on the national anthem again. There is much less coverage of kneelers and protesters these days, and more celebrating of an amazing song about America.
During the Monday Night Football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Commanders, retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Robert Carter’s stirring rendition of the national anthem moved star defensive tackle Chris Jones to tears.
Navy veteran Generald Wilson delivered a stirring and beautiful performance of the national anthem at the NBA season opener between the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
We’re sure even Carter and Wilson would agree that while all three versions of the national anthem were beautiful, Tinashe was the most attractive out of all those who sang it.
