Inside the NBA hosts Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley had an absolute field day with reports that two NFL insiders nearly got into a brawl in an Indianapolis Starbucks. The segment left O’Neal in absolute stitches, and it is beyond hilarious.
Readers of Bounding Into Sports will recall that Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports accosted Ian Rapoport of NFL Media in front of a slew of horrified – and likely confused – baristas earlier this week.
Rumors suggest it was over some scoop regarding a meeting between Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Schulz said it was a planned meeting, and Rapoport said it was a chance encounter.
And for that, Schultz got into his colleague’s face, dropped a few f-bombs, and ultimately prompted Rapoport to notify security.
"And when I woke up in the morning, everyone texted me."

Shaq And Sir Charles Poke Fun At The NBA Insiders
Honestly, it would have been less embarrassing if these two fought over who had more whipped cream on their iced mochaccino, or whatever you call them. O’Neal and Barkley gave these NFL Insiders the ribbing they deserve.
“I was at Starbucks today. It’s dangerous in there, Ernie. There’s fists flying everywhere,” Barkley joked.
O’Neal quipped that he appreciated Schultz’s choice to go with sports media instead of just taking over his father, Starbucks CEO Howard Schulz’s coffee empire.

The two then promoted a fake fight for Rapoport and Schultz on May 19th, with O’Neal backing the latter and Barkley saying, “I’ve got Ian in this one.”
The broadcast duo absolutely broke down in laughter when Barkley learned that there was a “police presence” following the verbal spat between the NFL Insiders.
If only Charles knew who called security, he would've had this same reaction along with my guy Shaq 😂😂 https://t.co/kHtKPsEkzN pic.twitter.com/FFweeaobGx

Somebody et Shcutz Know This Is Embarrassing
Schultz seized the moment by sharing the video and pointing out that Rapoport was the first of the NFL Insiders to report the skirmish to security.
“If only Charles knew who called security, he would’ve had this same reaction along with my guy Shaq,” he wrote on X.
According to reports, Rapoport was minding his business when Schultz confronted him. He then asked the man to step back and decided the final comments—”we’re going to have a f—ing problem”—amounted to a threat. He reported the incident to NFL security.
The whole thing is a joke. Rapoport seems mildly embarrassed by it, yet Schutz plays it up as if he’s some sort of tough guy.
Maybe Barstool Sports can get involved now that their other fake celebrity boxing match fell through. What a joke.
