Cam Jordan, the ageless defensive end for the New Orleans Saints, stepped up in a big way by donating $25,000 to the New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund for victims of the Bourbon Street terror attack.
The fund was established to provide support for the victims and survivors of the horrifying incident that took place on Wednesday. At least 15 individuals lost their lives during the heinous attack, and numerous others were injured.
Jordan’s donation not only reflects his deep connection to the city he plays for but also sets an example of leadership and compassion during times of crisis. He announced the move to lead by example on social media.
“I am joining @GNOFoundation and the @CityOfNOLA by donating $25,000 to the New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund to support victims of the attack,” he wrote. “Please consider donating to assist the families of those who lost their lives and those who were severely injured.
Jordan also posted a link to a blood drive to help victims.

Cam Jordan With The Classy Move
Cam Jordan’s gesture comes at a time when the city is mourning and looking for ways to recover from the shock and devastation of a New Year’s Day terrorist attack.
The New Orleans community has always been known for its resilience, and acts like these from local heroes like Jordan help to reinforce that spirit.
Money donated to the fund will go towards assisting the families of those who were killed and those who are still battling for recovery, providing a much-needed financial cushion in these trying times.
Cam Jordan has been a cornerstone of the New Orleans Saints defense since being drafted in the first round in 2011, serving as their defensive end. He’s earned eight Pro Bowl selections and holds the franchise record for the most sacks.
Princeton Wide Receiver Identified As A Victim
The football world had another link to the New Orleans terror attack. Tiger Bech, a 28-year-old who formerly played football for the Princeton Tigers, was identified as one of the at least 15 victims in the attack.
Bech, who played wide receiver for the Tigers, was in town to celebrate the New Year holiday when he was struck by the terrorist’s vehicle. He was rushed to a local hospital and held on to life support until his family arrived.
Suspect Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. Army veteran from Texas, drove a truck into a crowd early Wednesday morning, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens.
Jabbar was killed in a subsequent shootout with police, and the FBI is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism.
The FBI claims that the killer acted alone despite initial reports suggesting otherwise.
