Bad Bunny is reportedly planning a bold and controversial move for his upcoming Super Bowl LX Halftime Show. And if reports are accurate, then this is intentionally spitting in the face of a vast majority of football fans.

According to sources close to his styling team, who spoke to Radar Online, Bunny intends to wear a dress during the performance as a deliberate tribute to Puerto Rican “queer icons,” generations of drag culture, resistance, and cultural rebellion.

I mean, even if this isn’t true, the fact that his entourage is putting it out there is a clear attempt to provoke a reaction from President Trump, or the 99 percent of the American people who don’t relate to the “drag” scene.

One anonymous stylist described the planned outfit as “a political thunderbolt disguised as couture.”

Sweet, because football … and stuff.

“He loves controversy. He lives to push envelopes,” they told the outlet. “He is 100 percent going to wear a dress.”

Why Bad Bunny Super Bowl Dress Plans Are Sparking Calls for Boycotts

Honestly, this dude is very much desperate for attention. Which, if you think about it, is the entire purpose of dressing in drag. To draw a reaction. The NFL may get what they deserve, though, when everybody the following day will be talking about this moron instead of the actual game.

Bad Bunny’s team, according to Radar, doesn’t really give a rip what anyone thinks about the dress either.

“He’s not playing it safe. The NFL has no idea what’s coming. Zero,” one source added.

Is it just promotional tactics? Or will the performer parade a host of freaks and oddities and make political statements galore just to provoke fans? Maybe it’s both. Maybe some play acting where a drag queen takes down an ICE agent.

“Let them complain,” a friend of Bad Bunny said of his critics. “The dress is already being sewn.”

Having Bad Bunny as the halftime show headliner has already drawn significant backlash from President Trump and his supporters.

Trump has criticized the choice of Bunny as “absolutely ridiculous” and highlighted the artist’s anti-American, pro-illegal immigration stance. The rapper is a three-time Grammy winner known for his global popularity and Spanish-language hits.

Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, criticized law enforcement efforts to clean up the streets of criminals at his concerts.

“There was the issue of — like, (expletive) ICE could be outside my concert,” he said in an interview with Variety. “It was something we were very concerned about.”

Now he might well perform in drag.

Fortunately for sane people, Erika Kirk, the husband of assassinated conservative icon Charlie Kirk, and the group he co-founded, Turning Point USA, will be offering counterprogramming for the halftime festivities.

Gracie Hunt, the 25-year-old former Miss Kansas USA and heiress to the Kansas City Chiefs‘ empire, says she supports the alternative show.

“Football’s becoming the world sport, but, at its heart, it’s America’s sport built around family,” Hunt said.

Family. Not drag. Not “queer icons.” Not pro-illegal alien.

“When my grandfather named the Super Bowl, he intended it to be something children and families of all ages could come together and watch and really believed that the game should come first, that football is the attraction and that it didn’t need to compromise its character or rely on cheap appeal to draw an audience, especially when that approach can alienate so much of the fan base,” Hunt added.

Bad Bunny is the epitome of cheap appeal. Which halftime show will you be watching?
