Devon Mostert, wife of NFL running back Raheem Mostert, took to social media to sharply criticize what she called glaring hypocrisy in Hollywood and at the Grammys after former CNN anchor Don Lemon received a standing ovation.

Sharing a video of singer Alex Warren’s performance at the awards show, Mostert expressed disappointment that the artist had to entertain an audience that had earlier celebrated someone who had stormed a church service.

“Unfortunate he had to perform for an audience that also gave Don Lemon a standing ovation for barging into a Christian church to ‘protest ICE’ – impeding on the right of religious freedom and interfering with the exercise of religious freedom at a place of worship,” she wrote on social media.

“The HYPOCRISY from the Grammys and Hollywood is insane.”

NFL Star’s Wife Blasts Grammys Crowd for Applauding Ex-CNN Anchor Amid Church Protest Charges

The backlash stems from Lemon’s recent arrest in Los Angeles by federal authorities. The arrest was tied to his coverage of an anti-ICE protest that stormed worship services at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, late last month.

Unhinged protesters were seen accosting worshipers and frightening children as they interrupted the prayer service. Lemon was part of the planning for the operation.

Prosecutors charged him with conspiracy to deprive rights under federal law and violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act by allegedly coordinating with protesters who disrupted the congregation.

Lemon, who pleaded not guilty and was released without bail after a court appearance, has insisted his role was purely journalistic and plans to vigorously contest the charges.

For that, you’d have to actually be a journalist. Which, of course, Lemon is not. Also, depriving people of the right to worship violates the First Amendment.

The incident has fueled broader debates about selective outrage in entertainment circles, with Mostert’s post questioning why Lemon received warm applause from industry figures despite the serious allegations against him.

Mostert’s wife also made waves when she expressed support for President Trump prior to the election and pointed out that Kamala Harris was a bad choice for America.

“A vote for Kamala is a vote for war,” Mrs. Mostert predicted at the time. “NOBODY on the international stage is going to take HER seriously.”

Raheem Mostert appeared in Super Bowl LIV with San Francisco in 2019. He emerged as a standout performer after joining the Miami Dolphins in 2022, achieving his career-high in 2023 with 1,012 rushing yards, a league-leading 18 rushing touchdowns (and 21 total touchdowns). That earned him a Pro Bowl selection.

Mostert signed with the Las Vegas Raiders last season. He played in 12 games and made his mark as a kick returner.
