Caitlin Clark appeared to be overwhelmed with a video posted by her teammates offering heartfelt messages congratulating her for winning WNBA Rookie of the Year honors.

The transcendent league superstar was reduced to emojis after viewing the video. Clark offered up two hearts and a pair of crying emojis.

I promised myself I wouldn’t cry…

Clark was named the 2024 ROY after a historic debut in the league. Fans were left baffled by one vote that was cast for her Chicago Sky rival Angel Reese.

Clark’s teammates were incredibly supportive. The team posted the video that brought her to tears on X.

Caitlin Clark’s Teammates Celebrate Her Rookie Of The Year Win

Some of the messages offered up by Caitlin Clark’s teammates were simply adorable. And the video pokes a major hole in the rumor Sheryl Swoopes started suggesting her colleagues want to be traded because of her presence.

“Hey Caitlin! Congrats on Rookie of the Year. You earned this, I am so proud of you,” guard Lexie Hull said.

Hull seems to have grown very close to Caitlin, with the two sharing videos at country music shows and splashing it up in their bikinis while on break from the Olympics.

Forward Aliyah Boston, who was the unanimous ROTY in 2023 and shined with Clark feeding her the rock, also commented: “Hi Caitlin, congrats on Rookie of the Year. I knew you could do it from the jump. Congratulations. No one deserves it more than you.”

Comments from Kelsey Mitchell were perhaps the most striking. She described Clark as being more than simply a good basketball player.

“I just wanted to say congratulations on the award, man. You deserve it. You’ve changed the world in so many ways,” Mitchell said. “You’ve done it with so much grace and I’m so happy to take the floor with you, to be a part of this experience.

“I’m always going to be your fan, I’m always going to be in your corner, I’m always going to be in your backcourt. Congratulations, kid.”

Sheryl Swoopes Hardest Hit

This video of Caitlin Clark’s teammates absolutely loving on her is intriguing after Sheryl Swoopes started an unfounded rumor that Fever players didn’t like playing with her in Indiana.

“So, as a player, do you want to continue to stay in a situation where you keep yourself vulnerable to all of the hate that you know is going to come to you if you’re not playing the way everyone thinks you should be playing?” Swoopes wondered.

Indiana, in Clark’s first season with the club, played well over .500 basketball in the latter half of the season, made the playoffs as a 6th seed, and racked up 20 wins, their highest total since 2015.

But it’s the intangibles Clark brings to the table. She helps her teammates play better.

It’s clear they love her for it. No matter who is trying to tear her down.
