The two most famous Bulls in the world have been locking horns for years now, and it appears the personal problems between legendary duo Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen have extended beyond the basketball players themselves and all the way to the bedroom.

Multiple sources, including TMZ, have been following the story of Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, who is now dating the ex-wife of Jordan’s legendary teammate, Scottie Pippen. This story would be steamy enough for any soap opera already: You have the most famous basketball player of all time caught up (indirectly) in this entanglement.

The fact it also involves the superstar he is most closely associated with in his illustrious career adds even more heat to the situation.

Jordan and Pippen went down in history as perhaps the most explosive and versatile on-court duo ever, dominating on both offense and defense and winning six NBA championships with the Bulls in the 90s. Long and athletic, they both re-defined the role of perimeter players, while perfecting Coach Phil Jackson’s Triangle Offense. And in many ways, they were the sports franchise of the decade, with His Airness’s likeness appearing everywhere along the way.

But in recent years, Pippen has had some pretty unkind words for MJ, as he continues to tear away at their former friendship. Ever since the release of the documentary The Last Ride, Pip feels like he was downplayed in his portrayal. In essence, he’s upset that Michael Jordan (who was the Executive Producer of the series) gave himself almost all the credit for those six, shiny trophies.

But it’s Pippen’s ex-wife who now draws the ire of the floating man, who has made his feelings on the matter no secret.

When leaving a dinner at Paris’ Matignon, TMZ asked Jordan, now 60, about his son’s relationship with Pippen’s ex. He initially gave the media his trademark, MJ chuckle, but when asked whether he approved of it all, he responded: “No.”

Larsa Pippen has responded, and needless to say, she was hurt the statement’s made by the father of her significant other. Both she and Marcus have insisted that their relationship is genuine, but it’s still considered a little bizarre to many outside the couple’s inner circle. That, apparently, also extends to #23.

Speaking on Monday’s episode of her and Marcus’ Separation Anxiety podcast, Larsa, 49, said that she was “embarrassed” and “traumatized” after hearing the NBA Hall of Famer doesn’t approve of her romance with his 32-year-old son. While some of the comments were made tongue-in-cheek, Marcus said that his dad doesn’t quite have any real venom for his better half.

“I know my dad, and obviously my whole family, we’re so competitive, part of our DNA is to talk s***, it gets us going and gets us motivated,” Marcus stated. “And when I saw it immediately I thought, ‘He’s playing.’ He’s joking, he’s laughing. He’s just being playful, he’s a little lit, maybe off the Socorro (liquor).”

“Yeah,” Larsa replied, “I kind of felt like it went everywhere and I was kind of like embarrassed.”

Is that embarrassment her conscience talking? Only time will tell.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen teamed for titles in the Windy City from 1991-93, and again from 1996-1998. Both are members of the Basketball Hall of Fame as well as the NBA All-75th Anniversary Team.
