Our Origin Story

Bounding Into Sports is a no-nonsense hub for hard-hitting and in-depth coverage of all things sports and sports culture.

Much like its geek culture sister site Bounding Into Comics, Bounding Into Sports is staffed by a passionate team of independent professional writers who cut through the B/S in the world of sports news and analysis. The team leverages its network of press contacts, industry insiders, and content creators to deliver exclusive news, commentary, and insights.

All content reflects the subject matter expertise and opinions of the writer.

Bounding Into Sports is an offshoot of Bounding Into Comics which launched in 2014 and was acquired by Aurora Media in 2017. In 2023, Bounding Into Sports joined The Publisher Desk portfolio alongside its larger entertainment cousin, Bounding Into Comics. The site is monetized by display advertising managed by The Publisher Desk.

Contributor Ryan Boman is the author of the 2023 book, ‘Pop Music & Peanut Butter’, and a sportswriter whose previous work has appeared at The Miami Herald, SB Nation, and Fansided, and other media outlets. Ryan is based out southern Illinois and a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, and Detroit Lions.
